Dude in my league just randomly offered me this trade:

Cody Bellinger
Chris Archer

I receive:
Mike Trout

I'm thinking about it. The only thing holding me back is that it's a keeper league and I'd be able to hold onto Bellinger for the next 3 years for no worse than a 10th round pick (would be a 20th rounder next year). I wouldn't be able to keep Trout. My pitching is stacked so I can afford to part ways with Archer. As for Miggy, he's disappointed this year and has battled multiple nagging injuries since Spring Training. Maybe Father Time is catching up and now is the time to get rid of him while I can.

Any thoughts?

Dude is a Dodgers stan so he'd probably rather do Bellinger/Archer than Miggy. I browsed his team looking for a throw-in guy who might turn into something but he doesn't really have anything. I may ask for a draft pick. I actually already own his 3rd rounder next year .

Yeah and the fact that Bellinger could be a top 5 rounder is making me think more and more about declining.

If anybody had Freddie Freeman going down, I'd pick up Philadelphia Phillies 1B Tommy Joseph if he's available in your league. Dude plays in a small ballpark and he's just starting to get hot. Look at his numbers the last week.

I had him to start the season and he was a mess. But I'm good with Shaw and Reynolds.

I feel like I'm in here every day with trade questions but I like hearing you guys' opinions . Here's one I received today:

Clayton Kershaw
Jeremy Hellickson
Nick Castellanos

I'm not interested in Hellickson or Castellanos at all. Hellickson is on a bad team and doesn't strike people out, and I have no need for Castellanos. So here's what I'm thinking:

I send:
Chris Archer
Jose Berrios

I receive:
Clayton Kershaw

As much as I wanna see Berrios continue to cook, I think I'd do this trade no doubt. The only caveat is that he's a potential 20th round keeper next year (then 15th, then 10th over the two following years) while Kershaw cannot be kept. However, we can only keep 4 guys per year anyway and I already have Yu Darvish and Lance McCullers locked up as late-round keepers for the next 2-3 years.

Any thoughts?

I didn't think I'd be able to get the deal for Kershaw done when he shot down my offer of Archer/Berrios. But it turns out he needed OF help alot more than pitching so he actually offered the deal that we ended up agreeing on. He went with Berrios rather than Archer due to his real-life potential and keeper status.

For the other trade, that owner initially offered me Trout for Miggy/Stanton/Archer. I thought that was too steep so I countered with Miggy/Archer/2018 3rd rounder (which is his , I got it from him last year). He declined and said he had to have all three guys he originally asked for. So I countered with the trade that we finally agreed on. I'm actually also getting his 2018 20th rounder in that trade. That could end up being a crucial piece because it will allow me to keep two free agent pickups. With Bellinger already pretty much locked in to one, that'll give me some flexibility should I grab another prospect who rakes after getting called up.

I had a 9-3 lead before bed last night, woke up and it's 6-5 .

We've all been friends since middle/high school and have had the league running for like 3-4 years now so everyone knows there's no funny business going on. Guys were actually congratulating me in the group text . The dude I got Kershaw off of also has Keuchel. He has to be sick right now.

Actually just got a text asking if I would flip Kershaw for the right deal. He said Kersh/Benintendi for Machado/Trea Turner. Turner would be a 22nd round keeper next year .

EDIT: He took the deal off the table right away .

I'm thinking about grabbing Dansby Swanson off of waivers. He's been heating up as of late and I'm short a 2B/SS. Can also pick up Yasmani Grandal as he's been pretty hot lately too. I haven't had a catcher on my roster in like two weeks.
