First takes next is topic is "Are the Knicks the worst franchise in sports"
I was legit HEATED when I heard that on my TV, like dude it's opening night and THIS is how we begin. I geniunely believe ESPN has it out for the Knicks, between Max talking ****, Stephen A of ALL people, talking **** and then you have Jemele Hill who GOES OUT OF HER WAY to pop off about us, it's funny though. I feel like we'll have a "prove the doubters" wrong season.

FS1 >>>>> ESPN, Undisputed is godly. Just talk more hoops and we'll be straight. lol

Knicks fans are hands down the best in the league and some of the best in sports

I've had the privilege of going to a lot of NBA games (sitting in both lower and upper bowls) across the country, and in my personal opinion there is no other fan base as passionate and knowledgeable about the game than Knicks fans. The only other teams that would come second in the discussion would probably be Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtic fans. Those guys really know their team and basketball in general. Honorable mention would go to Utah Jazz fans as well.

Houston waived Prigioni :wow: :smh:

Get him ASAP. He deserves to play for a superteam

I wouldn't mind brining Prigioni home, but we would have to waive either Ndour or Plumlee and something tells me Phil wants to see which one pans out just in case he needs to hedge his bet with Noah.

Y'all crazy if you didn't wanna see KP with Adidas :smokin

I've always been apologetically a die hard "Nike-head". I can't believe KP signed with Adidas.

Dude is a salty prick who's mad at the Knicks for whatever reason. Son is acting like these are the Isaiah Knicks

He's not salty. He's just another passionate Knicks fan. Now, would you say those comments are fueled by First Take residue? I think so.

Prior to joining First Take, Max Kellerman has always been one of the more sensical Knicks fan in journalism. He's a native New York and calls it like he sees it--which is right most of the time. I think his remarks may be subservient to what First Take producers ask of him.

i just want work to be over already so i can go home and watch this first game of the year... im mad hyped for this season and whatever happens tonight its just 1 game... man i want to go on Saturday to the first home game but tickets aint no joke :smh:

Great post. Jemele Hill and Max Kellerman are by far the biggest Knicks haters. All subjectivity and rationale out the window

Joakim been real light spoken all off season.

Got a feeling he's got a lot to prove.

I know Stephen A. is a Knicks fan and all that but I cannot stand to hear that dude talk for more than a few sentences at a time

funny thing is people are actually betting on us to win the chip :pimp:
from espn
The Golden State Warriors will tip off the season as odds-on favorites, but no team has attracted more bets to win the NBA championship at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas than the New York Knicks.

The Knicks opened as 100-1 long shots to win the title at the Westgate but have been bet down to 60-1. They are all the way down to 20-1 at MGM sportsbooks.

The bets on the Knicks aren't very big, but there are lots of them. MGM assistant sportsbook manager Jeff Sherman said the average ticket on the Knicks is $25.

New York has not made the playoffs since 2013 and finished 32-50 last season. Knicks president Phil Jackson revamped the roster in the offseason, adding veterans Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah to go along with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

New York opens the season tonight against the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers, who are the second most favored at 11-4. The San Antonio Spurs are next at 6-1. The Warriors are 2-3. No other team has odds in the single digits.

While the Knicks are attracting the most bets, the big money is on Golden State. At William Hill's Nevada sportsbook, 36 percent of the total money bet on the odds to win the NBA title is on the Warriors.

Golden State went 73-9 last season, setting a record for the most wins in the regular season, but lost in the NBA Finals to the Cavaliers. The Warriors added superstar Kevin Durant in the offseason and became the first preseason odds-on favorites since the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls.

The Warriors open the season tonight against the Spurs.

The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers are each 20-1, followed by the Oklahoma City Thunder at 30-1. The Celtics have attracted the second-most bets, behind the Knicks, at the SuperBook. The Cavaliers are third in bets, followed by the Spurs and Warriors.

The Brooklyn Nets are the biggest long shots on the board at 1,000-1. The Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns are each 500-1.

These aren't as bad...

Anyone betting on the Knicks to win the chip isn't a basketball fan but a gambler who likes to play longshots...(it would be lit if they did tho  )

I have faith in Adidas. They really came up with their designs over the last few years. Don't know how much faith I have in the basketball division, though.

Sort of a lost files uniform from the 1996-1997 season. Only worn 4 or 5 times I think but definitely slept on. I have the Ewing jersey but desperately need the Starks. A Houston one would be nasty too. I'd like to see these come back for sure as an alternate like they were back then.

floodarea floodarea thanks for posting those up in the M&N forum. I had no idea when those were worn in 96-97 so appreciate the photos. Thinking about copping that Ewing.
