We talk about tanking more than Sam Hinkie. I'm tired of this ****. We need to build continuity.

Kind of tired of the fallback being "let's just tank". It is a vicious cycle that goes like this:
End of previous season-preaseason: "we need to get players x,y, and z," we get said players and have hope for a bright season.
During the season: we suck and players x,y, and z usually didn't pan out.
During the season: "it's Melo/ Coach (insert name)/ Phil/ Steve/ Dolan's fault we suck
During the season: "Trade Melo/waive the NTC Melo". Neither happen.
During the season: "Haven't done enough to go forward/ done too much to go back". Stuck in Eastern Conference purgatory.
During the season: still suck/ can't trade Melo/ let's tank.
During the season: Inadvertently start the tank.
Trade deadline: Get fleeced.
FA /Offseason: Get spurned by players that would really help.
Start the cycle again. Did I leave anything out, oh yeah, the obligatory blame Tyson/STAT's contract/ amnestied Billups instead of STAT/dumb*^% Bargs trade/ Shumpert was trash/ Earl was too drunk/Felton's too fat/Woodson is a bad coach/ Rambis had a ill porn fetish/ Fisher is scared of Barnes after catching a fade/
My only question is how many more weeks until this is the off-season thread?
Stop it.if only we lost more games towards the end of the season instead of going on a winning streak we coulda had towns instead of KP
Well, my close friend who I avoid Knicks discussion with thinks we should trade Derrick Rose and Brandon Jennings for Chris Paul.
What a disappointing string of play, capped off by that loss last night.
I don't even know what the fix is this season.
Understandable. I just don't think certain pieces of this core are worth keeping to justify that idea but I get it.I'm fine w building through the draft, I just wouldn't go about it by blowing it all up again. Trade rose and Noah or buy them out. Get rid of the guys who aren't playing integral roles in this team. But maintain a core and build continuity. Guys like Lee, Melo, KOQ, BJ, Kuz, KP and Willy are good enough foundation pieces. Add talented youngsters and useful vets around them and that'll rebuild the franchise. Going all out Hinkie doesn't do ****.
Funny thing is Minnesota is probably the one team having a more disappointing season than NYC.if only we lost more games towards the end of the season instead of going on a winning streak we coulda had towns instead of KP
I guess that's debatable based on expectations but IDK man. I think for Minnesota it's worse because they thought they had all the pieces there. Now it looks like it might have to get blown up again (also Thibs has been a disaster). Realistic Knick fans knew there is still work to do in terms of building the roster.i disagree... our season is more disappointing to be honest... our team is built to compete right now not an elite team but at least a .500 team that can make the playoffs while minnesota is a young team built for the future.. we signed lee, resigned lance, overpaid noah and traded for rose for no reason but to lose a lot this year... i agree keep the core and get rid of everyone else... the only good signings was kuz and willie but everyone else is not a good fit here and it was a waste of time signing or trading for those players...theres still time to turn the season around but the way they played recently it doesnt look promising... one more huge losing streak and its definitely over for the season
On the plus side, I met a girl that's a knick fan. I think she's a keeper lol
This team is bad. Like really bad. This team has some of the worst defense I've ever seen in my life. Top 5 pick worthy
