It's not about handling the job getting them rallied for this year, it's about his ability to run an entire program, which he did at Ole Miss before and not too well. Like casper said it's LSU a top 5 job in the country they can pick and chose who they want. We won't know who else is available until the coaching carousel gets to rotating.
