Question, does the Heat winning without Whiteside drive his asking price down a little in the off season?
as of now he isnt a max player. he has a lot of things to improve on offensively. however, he is a DAMN sure high priced player. miami better not let him go.I don't think so. His unique ability to block shots and his overall potential as a possible all-star make him a viable commodity for a lot of teams. What I do think the Heat will do is have Hassan test the market instead of maxing him out right away in the off season.
If there is a team out there that is willing to offer him max money, the Heat will match. This may rub him the wrong way, but its a gamble that could pay dividends if the market doesn't dictate he is a max player.
