It's similar to Canelo/Khan in that it is a two weight class jump for Brook. He definitely has more to offer Golovkin than Khan did to Canelo, but it is still jumping into the deep end of the middleweight class from welterweight.

If Brook is ripe for the picking, then Brook's team and Hearn are most privvy to this information. Knowing Brook's history, he is nearly impossible to negotiate a deal with. See what happened with his talks to fight Bradley, Alexander, Chaves, Rios, Vargas, etc. How is he so eager to fight GGG, the most avoided man in boxing 2 divisions north. Brook losing to GGG is obviously a no-lose situation. Hearn used Eubank Jr as a pawn in this whole soap opera, the Eubanks-GGG discussions were never serious. Eubanks Sr. has been around the block and is wiser than to throw him in there, he's not Khan's father's.

So many fights at 147 that still need to happen and he wants to end his career early moving up 2 weight classes to fight GGG

Feel like he's gonna get beat down worse than Khan. At least Khan had a speed and reach advantage, we all knew Canelo had slow feet and Khan could probably move around and outbox Canelo, but if he caught a big one it'd be over.


I dont see Brook having any real advantages tho. I'd be surprised if dude doesn't get beat down all fight and stopped inside the distance.

Dammit, I don't like this fight, 2 of my favorite fighters fighting each other man. And I don't want Brook's 0 to go, much rather see him vs Thurman or somebody. I think Brook will pose some problems for GGG initially with the slickness, but the added weight and body punches by GGG will take a toll on him mid fight and will get KOed later in the fight. This sucks. Is jumping weight classes within a small period a thing for these UK fighters now? SMH

GGG is a chump for accepting this fight... he really has fought nobody... kell is a good fighter but also 2 weight classes behind... this wont be a khan and canelo matchup but kell will have to pull of a miracle to win this fight
