I think he said he wasn't extending this summer. It's still a 46 million dollar difference for what team that traded for him for the summer of 2018.
It would make sense for him to not extend at all financially and wait until he hits Free Agency.

And in that case, he would a Free agent coming on the heels of two more losing seasons w/LAL.

Dame got 500 bars for Portland if he gets traded

Dame for Rose

I doubt Portland would do Dame dirty like that, as much as I love both of them, Rose definitely wouldn't cut it for them

Not really extend, but sign a new deal in 2018 (like he will with NO).

I understand that, but you think after getting screwed out of 30 million with SAC he's going to forego another 45 million to leave the team that can offer him the most? I mean last week he was willing to die in that hell hole in Sacramento for 200 million. Just saying.

Very valid point.

I would have done it because I don't see "superstar" or Boogie level impact with Ingram, but if you're high on him I wouldn't do it honestly. I'm not sacrificing my future for Boogie when he would literally be the only player close to All star level.

Just see more losing would result in bringing boogie along, making Free Agency pitches more difficult.

I'll say there's a 70% chance Boogie re-signs with New Orleans unless something drastic happens between now and his free agency period. Something drastic being AD and Boogie gets into it, Pelicans end up sucking, etc.

I'd agree with that, I got a feeling that they'll work well together though honestly.

The real question is, are the Celtics gonna make a serious move before the deadline?

By all accounts the deal centered around just Ingram and ancillary pieces to match the salaries. The future wouldn't have been mortgaged. Hell even if it was Ingram+Randle you still do the deal.

Boston needs to steal the deadline thunder and get PG/Nerlens.

Boston/GSW finals, Celtics lose in 6 but it's exciting.

Danny Ainge too scared to let go of Rozier

Dame aint goin no where he is beloved in PDX

well considering they've know each other since Kentucky, I figure they'll probably be straight.

wait though...was boogie one of the players in that video that stripped AD naked and slapped his butt? 8o

Lmaoooooooo

With both and Love not 100%?

They could.

Doubt they get both of those guys though.
I'd say it's a 50/50. PG on LBJ in the playoffs back when he was on the Heat though? I'd say if you're anticipating Celtics vs. Cavs and they get PG it'd be a more entertaining series for sure
