Rockets Were Al Horford's Second Choice In Free Agency

Al Horford met with four teams at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta during free agency.

The Houston Rockets went first, followed by the Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. Horford had met with the Atlanta Hawks prior to that.

James Harden was in on the meeting with Horford for the Rockets.

“I thought we had a chance,” Harden said on Monday. “I thought we had a really good chance, but obviously it didn’t work out, which is fine.”

Horford said he seriously considered signing with the Rockets.

“I really considered coming here as well,” he said of Houston. “Them and Boston and Washington, but especially here and Boston, were probably the two teams I was really, really looking at. So, just a lot to consider. A really good team, but at the end of the day I just felt like I was better off being in Boston.”

Horford prioritized signing with a team capable of winning immediately and eventually winning big.

“He’s just a great player,” Horford said of Harden. “They have a great organization here and I was very impressed with them…I just think overall I had a better fit here with the Celtics, with our depth here and coach and just everything. There’s just a lot of things that went into my decision.”

Another what if moment that coulda been great

Matt Barnes Allegedly Chokes Woman In New York Nightclub

Matt Barnes is sought by New York City police after an alleged confrontation at a nightclub in Chelsea early Monday morning.

Barnes allegedly choked a woman and two others (a man and an additional woman) as they attempted to intervene.

Footage of the incident obtained by investigators appears to show Barnes was the assailant, according to a person with knowledge of the investigation who is not authorized to speak publicly because the investigation is ongoing.

Barnes and a teammate on the Sacramento Kings, believed to be DeMarcus Cousins, were not at the club when police arrived.

Ohhhhhhh that makes wayyyyy more sense! MATT Barnes.

Embiid had wanted to play against Marc Gasol: "He's kind of like a coach, too. Sometimes he tells me what to do and what not to."

:lol that's kinda weird

Last season, KAT said Marc was the hardest player to go up against.

Glad to see these two studs learning from the best :hat
:lol Duncan used to do that too

Yep. Giving the younger generation advise, during game, boss as hell. :smokin :smokin

Wade used to do that too, it was never publicized, but I noticed it a few times during games and the announcers would comment on it. It would be after the play though. lol I am sure vets do that with players they know/ like. I can see LeBron giving pointers to Simmons once he is back.

As for Duncan, the biggest lesson he taught Blake was when he stopped Blake from flopping and pulled him back to play defense patting him in the head as they run back. It was golden. I couldn't find the gif anywhere though 8o

Can somewhat see Detroit, but not sure why he had interest in the Wizards unless he saw Beal's contract

Why not just come out and say they think CP3 is sleeping with Bron's wife :rollin :{

LeBron finna drive from Cleveland to LA and put the paws on Christopher.

Whenever Rondo gets in trouble I always go back to this video for some reason
