It's going to feel weird that the NBA season will start as early as the 15th of October. It already felt weird with the early start this season.

That means NBA 2k is probably going to come out even earlier next year

You don't have to shoot 40 and up to be great. 40 and up is excellence. I'd be surprised if there's 40 players out there who shot 40 and up from 3 for their career

Its crazy how great players are at shooting 3's now in days.

I remember when anything around 37%+ or better was a great shooter. Anything 40% and over meant you were elite. Now, you have about 35 players in the league shooting at least 40% from 3 :lol Top 10 is shooting north of 44%.

Even have several big men this year shooting well from 3. Marc 14th in the league right now :rollin

You may be addressing someone who's seen Dekker play in the NBA 3 times. He looks like he's already ahead of where Parsons was at this same point, who was on a course to becoming a very good and important player before the surgeries.
yeah i mean he's getting significant minutes on a playoff team shooting 43% from three, 20 games into a career in which he's coming off back surgery...yet he's trash?

I don't find Barkley's shtick entertaining anymore. Get someone in there who actually likes basketball.

Thing is, most of the former players don't know **** besides putting the ball in the hoop. You ever talk sports with D1/pro athletes? I can't name a single one that follows sports closely. Then again, they're actually busy competing while we're looking up synergy numbers :lol

Dirk Nowitzki shoots exactly 38% from 3 for his career....

I think we would all call him a "great shooter".

And I'm not saying Parsons is the shooter that Dirk is....of course volume etc comes into play.....but Parsons is a good shooter...and at his size and skills...it makes him extremly valuable when healthy.

I don't think @bhzmafia14 was trying to throw Parsons into the Curry/Korver/Redick tier of shooters.
So does Terrance Ross. And I DON'T think we would call him a "Great shooter".

and again...I never "scoffed" at Chandler Parsons' shooting ability. BHZ and I had a different understanding of the word "great"...and he clarified himself by calling those other guys "elite". It's all on what tier system you want to use.

90% of basketball fans :lol.

Try having a real conversation about basketball today with your buddies in real
Life....

Almost word for word parroting of the nonsense that Inside the NBA and First Take guys spew.

Narratives and Perception dominate basketball "analysis".

I'm not saying we need some Daryl Morey types or anything, but Chuck can't even do the bare minimum at this point. He never has any idea what he's talking about. No way anyone can convince me he watches games on a regular basis.

No way he can.

I'll talk about politics and religion with coworkers before I talk about hoops. Had a guy tell me the Warrirors aren't built for the postseason....

Would have preffered he ask me my opinion on abortions.

Giannis with more points than Carmelo, rebounds than Blake, assists than Conley, steals than Kawhi, blocks than Ibaka. Turns 22 next week.

Updates on Kawhi Durant? I know he hasn't shot over .500 in like4 games

Kawhi with more:

Points than LeBron
FG% than Chris Paul
3pt % than Harden
Rebounds than Marc Gasol
Assists than D Wade
Blocks than LeBron
Steals than Draymond green
FT% JJ Redick

He's 25.

Did i do that right?
