Dallas missed their chances in '06 & '07. They were essentially a treadmill team after that. Weaker than Denver, LA, BOS, CLE, etc.

Cuban should've blown them up. Dirk was 30+.

Oh wait, no he shouldn't have.
That's the closest parallel to what's going on here and I just feel like if you asked me back then I would have screamed that the Mavs should blow it up. Winning heals all though.

I was listening to the latest Zach Lowe. Podcast and they touched on a subject that I consider to be one of the most interesting sub plots of the season.

What happens if/when the Clippers lose? Do they actually blow it up? If so who goes?

I pray JJ Reddick is up for trade.

Whats the name of his podcast?
The Lowe post.

pmatic pmatic I also agreed that none of those guys wanna leave. That JJ Redick thing is a pipe dream.

Redicks a free agent and hes on a crazy bargain contract - no trades for him. I bet he goes to the highest bidder this summer though. He could probably double his career earnings this summer on a 3 year contract.

I meant a sign and trade scenario but I know it's nonsense. I just want that guy on the Spurs.

Could get in that 55/60 for 3 range.

Clippers can't give him that.

Blueprint....

Things break your way....you grab a top 2-3 seed. And Boom. You can be 2011 Dallas.

Of course....the Clippers have the WORST luck though. So this is moot :lol.

It's nice to dream though :{

I think JJ is definitely leaving.

Blake/CP3 is a possibility.

I also don't think the Dallas analogy works for the Clippers. The Clippers have 3 guys in their prime right now, meanwhile, Dallas was the team everyone felt like didn't have enough overall to win anything. Talent wise, that may have not been the best team Dirk played with.

I think they were underdogs in almost every series they played in. Everyone wrote them off and thought the Lakers / OKC / Spurs would come out of the West.

Reminds me of another team.

Also,

JJ Redick has one of the best podcasts out.....

Also this.

Provides great insight into the behind the scenes aspect of being an NBA player/pro athlete and is just generally a thoughtful and easy guy to listen to.

It's funny because I've followed him since the Duke days and I would've never pictured him being like this.

If the Clippers could somehow get Paul George with only losing DJ/JJ, I would like them as much as any team.

I don't see how you compete against GSW or even the Cavs/Spurs without somebody to matchup up against 3 off the most transcendant players in the league with KD/Bron/Kawhi.

PG ain't on that level (yet, in a better team he could be) but he gives the best chance right now easily out of any player that's going to be available over the next couple of years.

Indiana is going nowhere with McMillan as coach and the roster Bird has built.

George going to LA would be great for his image to play on the national stage all the time.

It's a long shot but if you're the Clippers what do you have to lose?

They can be a great team as we've seen when they beat the Spurs in the 1st round 2 years back but the game has changed and they are still the same.

That's the player I've done a complete 180 on.

Being a Maryland fan.....I HATED this dude when he was at Duke.

Come to find out.....he's a real one :lol.

Jonathan Isaac is the guy that's really next up.....if Denver gets a top 5 pick 8o

#JustWaitOnIt

:hat

@ Bron gotta wear a full Cubs uniform to the game tonight for losing the bet w/ D. Wade

Ditching Mudiay already huh? :p

:lol. I still got faith in the boy. One game, he has 20 on like 7/14 from the field.

The next...he's 1/10 for 5 pts. He needs to find some damn consistency. I read an article saying he's either going to be very bad....or pretty good. No in between with my man. On some nights....he looks like a stud. On other nights...trash.

I still got faith though.

But this Jon Isaac kid is going to be a gem. And if the Nuggets can get that top 3-7 range....we have a real chance of adding a guy with true superstar potential.

SN: How's D-Lo doing btw? I thought he'd be on his way to superstardom by now. No? 8o

PG has three years left in his contract. He aint going nowhere until at least 2018/2019

Agreed on JJ, said it yesterday I hated this guy in college and now he's one of my favourites

:lol

To be honest, I expected a tad more from D'Lo but overall am very pleased with his progress. I wonder if he would look better if he didn't have to share the floor with Luold Deng at SF.

J.J has gone on record and stated how much he loves la, his teammates, doc, and how he wants to come back. He also values winning a lot. If the Clips can make a deep run in the postseason, I'm optimistic that he'll be back. However, it's going to be really hard for JJ to turn down what he could potentially get in the open market, would be tough for any guy.

He's so good, man. He's the engine for LAC. When he's on, they look like the best team in the league outside of gsw. But when he can't get clean looks, they barely scratch 70 on the PG less pacers.

In my opinion, unless some drastic playoff flameout happens again, (which isn't out of the question) they will all be back, whether that's good or bad.

Regardless, I think the blowing it up thing was never a potentiality with doc at the helm anyway, and their misfortune health wise has kind of given him an excuse not to blow it up. But to me, they are clearly the 2nd best team in the conference who has some strengths that directly correlate to some huge weaknesses with gsw. We'll see how it plays out but for that reason blowing it up especially in this WC was not going to happen

Luke gotta go all in and start D'Lo, Young, Ingram, Randle, Nance for the culture.

I know it's early but the Lakers gotta give up on the Deng/Moz situation.

The younger guys are more talented and at least have upside, they need reps.

Luke done a great job of still getting them minutes and I guess he just has to play Deng/Moz because they gave them so much money. :lol
