You could keep conferences for regular season. Top 8 from each conference moves to a tourney style playoffs without conferences.

Top seed plays worst seed. 2nd best plays 2nd worst and so on and so forth.

Bron even said it was to beat Boston
roll.gif

you telling me that he's lying?
you know his intentions better than he does?
You think it is incredibly outlandish for a player not to be truthful to the media?  What world do you live in?

Also he did also say it was to win multiple championships, as others have pointed out...

The goal of almost every ringless superstar is to win championships bro so of course that's part of it.
Bron specifically stated that boston forming their big 3 played a part in him wanting to create his own big 3 so he could beat them. the notion that he would've signed with boston is dumb given his statement

Calm down Savanah, he literally said that last season when he could frame the narrative now in retrospect. At the time there wasn't a peep about oh me, Wade and Bosh came together to beat Boston. It was to win title(s).

I still like and support him but Durant did a sucka move. Period. It was a boss move for GSW though. You get a superstar and you eliminate your biggest threat.
But that's how the modern league is of today. Lebron started all of that. KD just handled it in a more professional way. He weighed his options. He informed his old team of what he was going to do prior to announcing it and then did it. If SA/LAC would've put out OKC and he then proceeded to go join either of those teams, would the criticism still be the same?

I dunno man I'm over the hating of Durant's decision.  Dude signed his OKC extension with no complaint and put in mad years living in Oklahoma on a team with no offensive system to speak of, playing next to a pretty selfish player and didn't complain about any of it.  What does he owe anybody?
Exactly. People acting like he took flight right away. He signed an extension, he played it out. That's a contract for you. No hate against Oklahoma City but if I'm in my 20s, I would much rather go live in the Bay.

once again name calling and trolling instead of just admitting when you're wrong. mad immature

Yea i already see where this is headed so i'm not even gonna go there.....

Anyway Jabari gotta be up for most improved right? especially considering all the Hype Alphabet getting and the eyes on them.

he went from 14/5/ 1.7 on 48% & 25% 3 to 20/6/2.4 on 49% & 38% on threes. being the second best player on what should be a playoff squad. he's def up there in rankings.

Also i was listening to a Podcast and started talking about trading CJ, do ya'll think him straight up for Boogie would benefit either team? IMO Portland would Flourish & the Kings would sink. If the Kings are stuck on making the playoffs, I think a trade of Rudy & one of the dozen young centers they have along with a heavily protected pick would work well for Both squads. I think with Rudy the Hawks can still make the Playoffs & receive some young assets.

if you hated lebron's decision in 2010 you can't praise KD's decision because "LeBron did it first"

The decision was seven years ago ? Wow [emoji]128563[/emoji]. Dudes really still in their feelings seven years later [emoji]128514[/emoji]

No feelings at all, just the facts at the time were different than what he said last year is all.

The kings aren't EVER gonna get back equal talent for Boogie, as far as talent alone stands... if you not Trading a KD, Bron, Russ, AD type of player your not getting his kind of production back

Kd didnt have a " the decision " special and alienate his hometown

feelings went away when CLE fans glued back their jerseys.

all that is irrelevant cause I'm talking about from a pure basketball standpoint.
and if you're not from cleveland why does him leaving his hometown team matter?

I really loved Lebron his first stint with Cleveland. No NBA player and perhaps athlete has ever been as hyped as he was. To those trying to put him on the mantle with Jordan, I felt as it was a bad look for him as a player because it showed that he couldn't be the main guy at the time. The comparison has been exhausted but prime MJ, Bird, Magic, Kobe etc. never went to another star's team to team up and beat another great team.

IMO. He's judged to a greater degree because of all the hype (his own doing and the media's) he got and gets. It might not be fair but that's the weight of the crown.

KD was never hyped to the same degree. The only good thing about the Decision was the money it made for the youngins and the actual basketball that was played in their championship years. As a basketball fan, it was hard to hate on the kind of ball they were playing. Everything else was for the birds.

thought Ariza ended up signing for basically the same Ron did?

respect
I agree with everything you said but the difference between bron and mj/bird/magic/kobe etc is that they didn't need to go anywhere because they already were playing with hall of famers
Magic had kareem and worthy
MJ had pippen rodman and kukoc
kobe had shaq and pau
bird had mchale and parish
LeBron didn't have anybody close to that level during his first stint in Cleveland
KD even had Russ
People also forget that Kobe demanded a trade as soon as the Lakers became a mediocre team
