Wiggins, towns and Lavine gonna be scary if all goes right.

No homerism at all there regarding the Sixers. If Minny wants to trade LaVine they can do a helluva lot better than Noel.
Man I think the Wolves would be stupid to turn down a trade like that if it was real.

I was thinking Noel +Covington +Picks is way too much for Lavine.
Again in the six games gsw and Cleveland played last year prior to game five gsw was beating the cavs by 20 a game on avg

Like I said, credit to the cavs for getting it done but crazy **** had to happen for them to even push it to game 7. Call it how it is man.
The amount of luck it took for GSW to win their title in 2014 far surpasses the "crazy ****" that had to happen for Cavs to win.

GSW needed 1-2 stars injured on their opponents team in the 1st 2nd 3rd and Finals for them to win, yes all 4 rounds, Cavs had to overcome 3 games.

4 seven game series worth of luck > 3 games worth of "crazy ****"

That isn't the point.

If that series goes one more game, two, whatever....it's more games and not the same.......

Every god damn round they faced a crippled team, but Cavs had SOOOOOO much luck getting passed GSW. Sure. Same Same.

I'm agreeing with you. The Cavs didn't play anyone with injuries during the playoffs. GSW didn't lose any key players to injury during the finals either.

Oh I thought you were being facetious with the "Jrue" comment saying even if they had Jrue it wouldn't have mattered or something.

My bad.

Shoeking been defending that stance for a while now and I had to finally say something, today I had time cuz.

This thread is legit stupid.

Think I'll refrain from engaging in any Cavs/Warriors/Steph/KD posts from here on out.

The Hot takes are just tew much.

First take taught us

So what's the verdict on CJ now that we see him without Dame? I personally love the way he scores but I haven't seen enough games to judge anything else he does. Would you trade for him?

Blazers would be better as a team if they were separated

That I completely agree on. But what tier would you put him? can he be a regular all-star? Top 5 SG?

saw that when he was at louisville
he made it to the league

get it however you can. a lot of guys that struggle need to swallow their pride and try shooting it underhand
I bet that a couple of years down the line most of the sub-.500 free throw shooters will adopt this technique and this guy beat them as the first one who revitalized this technique. Props to him.

I can't believe some of those players "pride". Yeah, shooting underhand looks ridiculous, but airballing free throws doesn't.

I'll be watching like Sting from the rafters.

I've had it mane :lol

I've given up on having real basketball discussions. It's all about the "Narratives" now.

Lavine > CJ

srs

As players or ceiling?

CJ seems to be the better playmaker, shooter, ballhandler and iso player.

LAvine is probably the better defender.

I hope so too. I mean, you know what is more embarrassing than granny free throws? Shooting 50% from the line and letting the other team intentionally foul you because they know you effing SUCK at free throws. That alone would make me change my technique.

Edit: I should add that Rick Barry's legacy consists of (mainly) two things, 1. Underhanded free throws, and 2. Being a colossal a-hole that literally nobody likes to this day. Without those underhanded free throws, what is Rick Barry? A Top 25 player who nobody liked. Yet, we revere him for sticking to the underhand free throws (4th-best all-time). This would be a great PR opportunity for any established poor free throw shooter in the league (like Dwight, Drummond, etc.). Tell the media you're making the switch, work on it for an off season, and come back next year with a new technique. Wouldn't Andre Drummond, as his age, benefit tremendously by changing his technique? Make it cool again.
