Cosell is extremely predictable.

If you are a big, big-armed pocket QB he will like you no matter what (see Zach Mettenberger).  Otherwise...

I mean...Hoge is who he is, but the long windup of has been a main criticism of Winston, which is consistent with Leftwich. Although Byron's was much more pronounced.

I don't think most ESPN dudes have a clue, but I can see a resemblance. I think Winston is the goods though.

Leftwich had no where near the arm though, which is what kills those guys who have long windups..

Like with kaep.. His windup isn't an issue.. Reading a defense, now that's a deferent story

Yeah...I remember that windup and when he released just thinking 'fastball.' Dude was a pitcher in the pocket. He could sling for sure. Winston doesn't have that arm strength, but doesn't need it.

But even with those guys having a big windup.. Neither of theirs is as bad as leftwich's was

The mental aspect of the game is what will set Jameis apart from a guy like Leftwich. Really think Jameis is gonna be a beast if he ends up in TB, they got a nice nucleus for him to come in and do some work right away.

Just about all NFL quarterbacks are throwing 90+ on a radar gun. That's irrelevant.

Kaep is my comparison for winston's throwing motion..

I'll readily admit I don't watch too much college football and play catch come this time of year.. And maybe I'm just not remembering Leftwich too great.. But I thought winston had a better arm than him
