Official 2015 NFL Draft Thread

I have chance to become the president as well
No, you don't.

It's hard to find a good QB these days, I could see a team taking a chance on him. He has the size and arm. Bring him in, have him sit for a couple of years and learn how to be a QB and see what happens.

Yeaaah Marcus Mariota ain't worth the #1 pick in the NFL Draft. I'll state that right now.

Still on the Jameis Train though.

I told my boy last week that I don't think Mariotta will make it in the NFL if he is forced to start right away. That system that Oregon runs is not coming to the NFL with him unless Chip trades his entire draft 8o

You switching like every other week tho.

Nah man lets not try for the lolz

All I said from the start with Mariota was if we can bring the system to the Bucs then I think he can be great. But unless we improve our whole OL and somehow implement the Oregon/Eagles scheme completely then Mariota ain't the right QB for us.

Jameis is the more talented thrower by a MILE. He's worth the top pick if he isn't going to be getting in trouble from here on out...that's just a tough thing to trust for a guy that has seemingly stayed in trouble for most of his career though. If we're taking one of the two with the top pick I'm taking the risk on the more talented thrower though.

Just need 5-6 teams at the top of the draft to think this

I'd like to see the Eagles end up with Mariota cause I don't trust him in much of any other NFL offenses as a 1st round pick...especially as one that's going to be expected to come in and be the savior and start from Day 1.

I would be pissed the hell off though if we trade all the way back to 20 though. Which is why I think we should just pick Jameis and the Eagles can trade with the Jets or somebody.

EJ Manuel got taken in the first round.

MM8 is going top five no matter what

Front offices cant help themselves

MM8 ain't got dem measureables like EJ.

EJ physically is a great prospect he just can't play football. :lol

All these GM/Coaches think they can teach somebody play to the game if they are physically talented enough.

If the Eagles want Mariota they ain't going to have to trade up.

I seriously have a feeling this could happen.

But you gotta think SOMEBODY in the top 10-15 that still needs a quarterback will want to take a chance on him.

I really do think he'll end up on the Eagles someway, somehow.

The 70 yarder the guy was open by 9 yards. :lol However, MM did look off the safety, that was a plus move. Just an easy pitch and catch.

The drop by Stanford. Open by six miles.

He has almost no footwork in the pocket. Snap, fake, then bounce bounce shuffle shuffle. He gonna do that in the NFL? :{ No 3,5,7 step drops, no snaps under center, no throws into windows with anticipation, just college spread dictated reads. None of that **** gonna translate.

He does have some of the Russ, stay alive, head up, on the move, find a guy, throw. That will serve him well. First TD, perfect example.

But in the pocket, trailing, known passing down, he's dead. He was throwing screens and 4 yard dumps with 3 minutes left down 15.

He's going to need a ton of time just working NFL snaps under center, with drops, footwork, etc. Then lead receivers 10-12-18 yards deep both sides of the field. If someone tries to start him day 1, they aren't helping him. Draft and stash, he's got a shot.

I think he can have some early success, Kap, RG3, even Geno looked good a game or two year one. (That Falcon Monday nighter was like his 3rd-4th game) Once tape piles up tho, and coordinators get time to scan him, he will get shut back to reality like those guys have been.

He needs at least a year as a backup re-learning the position.

Very good analysis

But dude gon run a 4.5 40 complete 59 of 60 throws at his pro day and have GMs titillating

It never fails

I should say more clearly, Kap looked good for 2-3 months early.
RG3 had a nice rookie year.
Geno a couple games.
I remember Tannehill throwing for 431 in his 4th start.

But all eventually hit a wall and come back down to earth quite a bit. I see that with MM. No tape, he makes a few plays, few throws, looks good.

2 months later, tape in hand, may be looking haggard as ****. Then will his team be patient with him? That's the question.

How could you not mention the King of this scenario Cam Newton

Dude went from braking all time records in his first weeks to putting up rushing numbers in passing slots. Throwin for like 120 and ish

If Cardale can show out (assuming he declares) at his proday/individual workouts, he's gonna be a lock for the 1st round. Let's be real, he hates school anyways....

If dude is smart, he'll ride this wave....

I'd tell Ohio State "toodles!" and get missing right away! He'd have to sit a whole year if he transfers. What's funny is, JT Barrett BARELY won the starting job over him in the Spring. I hope to goodness the Cowboys draft him with out pick in the 20s. Let him sit behind Romo for 2 or 3 years! He's got a stronger arm than Byron Leftwich and Jeff George, with the touch of Mark Brunell!!! I want him in a Cowboys uniform!!!
