Hati and Columbus?

Dog, I'm trying to pass the time on this NBA-less Saturday and watch Rangers/Thunder but gah damn.. it's not working out

I just wonder if they consulted with Davis in any capacity to gauge his opinion on Williams

I'm guessing no though

I don't understand the obsession with asking your star player for permission to make moves. If you're a GM, you should be confident enough in yourself to call the shots. Is Monty good enough to get you to the next level? That's all that should matter.

Davis was the most coachable kid on Kentucky. He's the type of guy that'll do WHATEVER a coach asks. He's not gonna sit there and ask management to fire him. That's an awful position to be in. If anything, he'll put the blame on himself.

Monty Williams situation is a simple question - would you rather be GS and fire your decent coach one year too early? Or OKC and fire your decent coach two years too late?

Will definitely agree with Cbus > Land ... Haven't been to the Nati in a while tho.

Had the time of my life in college.

Obsession? Calm down

The entire point of firing Williams was because he wasn't the right guy for Davis. No other reason, that's why I was wondering

If Davis had a great rapport and loved him, I think that would make things interesting

I'm in the camp that believed he should have been fired last season

I really don't understand how the Clips series is 3-3.  I've watched all 6 games thus far, and if you were to go quarter by quarter, I bet houston has only put together 4 quarters of a solid game.

Personally, I think the clippers win tomorrow by 20+.

Playing with fire bro... I wouldn't be surprised to see them get burned on the road in a game 7

The 3 Clipper losses, Reddick, Barnes, Rivers and Crawford have played awful (especially shooting). In the 3 Clipper wins they have played solid. I think that's the one pattern that sticks out for me

The more that I think about it, the more I see the Clipps winning in convincing fashion tomorrow.

Yeah, because it's likely they'll rally under a clearly-broken Doc Rivers as they travel to Houston after blowing a mammoth-sized lead with all of their key contributors in the game.

I don't think it's as daunting as it would be if the Clippers were playing on the road against a team that wasn't the 2014-15 Houston Rockets, but if they couldn't close their 18-point lead on their home court with 12 minutes to go I don't know what would make you feel confident "the more you think about it" that they'll win in "convincing fashion." :lol

They're clearly the better team and they've outplayed Houston for much of the series.

That late game rally had as much to do with the Clippers as it did with the Rockets. They mentally checked out early and the Rockets took advantage. That's all that was. Nothing more, nothing less.

I also think the extra day off helps the Clippers more than it does the Rockets.

The fact that they've gotten up on houston by 15 plus in all but one game says a lot.
