every team eats against the hawks on the glass but they still find ways to win
are they gonna be favored, no. but to write them off completely is foolish.

they'll run their offense and will get their shots
stretch the floor with their shooting and get great spacing
teague/dennis should be able to penetrate and cause some problems

cavs probably will play small and faster

The wiz have shown how to slow down the Hawks and i can see the Cavs exploiting that and scoring on the other end

I just wanna see how many mins Korver is gonna get when dudes lock him up

Beal shut down Korver, but nobody stopped Demare

Naw im saying is i wanna see how long are they gonna continue to play him even tho he's getting locked up, cause if his shot aint falling he isn't really bringing anything

Like how we had him locked this series

Korver will get his usual 38 mins because even if he's not making his shots you still have to stay glued to him. You can't just treat him like Tony Allen & ignore him :lol So he's still providing value from a spacing perspective, which is critical.

His presence on the floor is nearly as important as his production.

He's also averaging 1.5 blocks & 1.5 steals during the postseason, so he offers value as a help defender as well.

still got to guard him. he still spaces the floor.
pretty good rebounder and solid defender

ya acting like hawks are plain terrible. if they were in the west, they'd still compete with any of those teams

Lebron gonna cook vs Demare. TT is going to cook on the boards. JR will cook Korver

My fear is Cavs bench vs Dennis

In today's nba spacing is expected from the 2 and 3 so i consider that normal

At this point idk what the lesser of 2 evils is, Cavs and Lebron in the finals or the Hawks in the finals :x

Korver doesn't provide ordinary spacing tho look at all the attention he gets when he comes off a screen

Didn't think this needed to be said, but Korver's spacing is a bit different from your typical 36% - 39% 3 point specialist.

Simply put, you have to give him less room than any shooter not named Steph/Klay. He's far from your "normal" 3 point specialist & you have to play him much tighter than "normal" 3 point specialists as a result.

He shot 49% from three during the season. Most good shooters don't shoot 49% on any kind of jump shot. Then you factor in that 3 > 2, and the efficiency is devastating.

Korver stuff is obvious. The Wiz did a good job on him - way better than expected. Doesn't mean JR. Smith and Iman Shumpert will do the same thing. It's not easy to stop korver without giving up easy stuff to Millsap or Horford

Just have to have 1 guy dedicated to him, and when he comes off the screen hedge at him or switch

I was watching this series and he didnt really provide a real impact or edge, at the end of the day he is human put a hand in his face and he will miss

The 49% 3 pt percentage is highly in part to the offensive system where the ball moves like hell so he always has good looks

but i'm not gonna lie he is a good shooter like real good but no damn near 49% shooter, only teams he could shoot 49% on are the Hawks or spurs
