Urban gonna bring down the hammer of discipline
Ezekiel Elliott cited for car crash, per report
Though details are scarce at this point, former Columbus area attorney Craig Calcaterra reports Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott was cited in a "car crash" before the team's flight to Phoenix yesterday. Calcaterra, a currently non-practicing lawyer, is the lead baseball writer at NBCSports.com and based out of New Albany.
According to Ohio State coach Urban Meyer after the team arrived for later this week's Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame, only senior defensive tackle Tommy Schutt is expected out for the game with injury.
While it's not immediately clear what impact if any this will have on Elliott's final game in scarlet and gray, Calcaterra went on to add that the police report was "not ready yet" but should be out later today. He further clarified that Elliott was apparently driving on a suspended license though he couldn't get the Columbus Police Department to confirm that detail.
We'll have more as it's made available.
