OFFICIAL 2014 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Josh Gordon is really worth stashing?

Last year I stashed Percy and it was not worth it

I'm putting him in my last roster spot for insurance/trade bait/block someone else from getting him.

Difference is Percy Harvin was injured, can't compare that to Josh Gordon who got a harsh suspension for blowing trees :hat

If he's available go get him, ya gonna be mad as hell if he gets reinstated week 8 and carries a team in your league to a championship.

Worse case scenario is you drop him if he isn't going to play.

thats where Im at on it.

In my league we have defensive players as well, so I dropped Chris Long for Gordon. :hat

I am in a predicament with this Gordon thing...no free agents in my league...if you want a guy, you have to bid for him. Next time the process goes through is Sunday morning...trying to decide if/how much I'd wanna bid for Gordon.

Hope Gordon gets the book thrown at him and isn't allowed to play. He needs this to happen to get his life on track.

P.S. I drafted him in 3/5 leagues and dropped him once news of the year long suspension was being upheld. He got scooped up in all the leagues already. Feels bad man.

The Josh Gordon thing is no risk High reward for me. In the two leagues I drafted him in, I'm already stacked at WR, and had people I could drop, and if he balls then I can just trade another guy. One of those leagues is also a keeper league, and I'd get to use a keeper on a guy without having to give up a round of picking. Too much upside for me not to consider it.

So if Gordon sues he can play?

I'm not sure what the deal is

Can someone fill me in?

Dropped Doug Baldwin for Josh Gordon right before the game last night :hat

Josh still available in my league that has 11 bench players somehow.

Dropped Tavon for him because, **** it.

My WR's are pretty weak here so even a couple games out of JG should be good enough.  Not to mention now I can keep him into next year if I want.

if gordon plays ill be sick i dropped him once i heard he was suspended for the year, Mind you im in a $200 league and he already got picked back up by someone. Im pissed now im stuck with Boykin on bench who got shut out by Sherman lastnight didnt even get a ball thrown to him.

Don't worry about last night for Boykin... He was on 100% decoy duty.  Just a body to put in front of Sherm.  It won't be like that all year, I wouldn't even say Sherm "shut him out" because it was never the plan to throw him the ball.

all this Lacy and marshawn talk, and no one mentioned how good Percy looked last night....that dude is either really good or the packers Def is really bad.

Seahawks looking to be real scary if :

1. Percy plays every game ( doesnt even have to be at 100%, what a decoy)

2. Lynch stays "about that action boss"

3. Russy stays Russy ( in control and doesnt make mistakes)

4. teams dont throw Shermans way

and yeah i know, its only been one game haha

not a Seahawks homer at all either

Thats why i never listen to these Fantasy gurus they was downplaying Lynch like he aint the BEAST he is :lol

It's 1 week, but I'll take my crow now on Lynch. Said I wouldn't touch him with a #1 pick. He looked like a young dude

the burst and wiggle so apparent no signs of age or wear and tear

For all the folks saying Lacy actually looked good, when exactly did this occur? Is it because he was just running hard?

^ He had a 15 yarder where he was bottled up up the middle, then bounced it outside and made 2 guys miss. That was his best run of the night, but he was also running dudes over. Didn't really have much room to run anyway. It's been like this for the past 3-4 years; Temper your expectations when your RB is going up against the Seahawks or 9ers. He'll be fine going forward as long as this concussion doesn't cause any problems.

Here's a gif of the 2nd half of that run.

any time a running back plays against the packers or the cowboys this year, they're going to look really, really good. i think lynch went beast mode today but there was some bad tackling for sure.

Regardless if it was the Packers, Lynch looked spry and agile. That's what the biggest fear was to me, in terms of his body. The cuts he made were ones of a young dude. Was really impressed

In my money league I got Lacy at #6 but if Lynch was there too honestly I would have taken Lacy
