i feel that after the top 5 or so RB's i feel all the others are RB2s or worse in PPR. am i alone in this?

in my case, wasn't comfortable taking gio bernard, le'veon bell, doug martin, or zac stacy over julio jones in the 2nd. gio bernard would probably be the only one, but i'm just not that high on him with jeremy hill there (although i believe gio will still be the top back to own of the two).

I would take the chance. Morris becomes your RB1 with Spiller as RB2. Rice is RB2 insurance in case Freddy takes away a large portion of C.J.'s production. Vereen and Gerhart provide depth.

Julio becomes your WR1 and should have a monster year in ATL post-injury. He's Matty Ice's main man with Roddy regressing. Fitz your WR2, dependable. V-Jax is expendable if QB play falters in Tampa. CP your wildcard. High expectations for Patterson in Minny.

Had a draft last night, and I really need to improve my rbi's (I'm starting Ryan Matthews n Trent). I drafted Aaron Rodgers & Stafford, so I think I can move one of them and try to pick up a solid rb in return.

I was thinking about one of these trades:

Stafford + Trent for Arian Foster
or
Stafford for Reggie Bush straight up.

No to either proposed deal you're mulling. Foster is a risky trade acquisition. Bush is tempting in PPR formats, but you're still selling Matty short.

I know its very early but bears defense vs bills week 1 or browns vs pitt?

Chicago, despite their secondary weakness.

Hear you. Hunter is a must-keep. Taking KB over Deck makes sense if you're going boom-or-bust on upside and intuition.

I would definitely take Gio over Julio. Bell gives me some pause, I'd consider it.

I'm not sure what has led you to believe these things about Decker. Have his numbers been inflated playing with Manning? Absolutely. But his floor still remains pretty high.

He had 15 receptions on 25 targets on passes 20 yards or more for a 60% catch rate on those deep passes. Only D-Jax had more receptions on deep balls but his catch rate was less than 50%. Geno Smith's deep ball accuracy? 47.5%, good for 7th in the league, or just 1.5% lower than Manning's.

He has 9 drops in his last 22 games. 5 of those came in the first four games, 4 of them in the 18 games after. It was a problem that has seemingly begun to correct itself, not to mention quite a few of these drops were in tight coverage or on diving attempts.

Owns a 4.45 40 and broke 8 tackles last year. He's turned into a good YAC receiver (4.6/reception in '13). He saw 136 targets last year as arguably the third option in the Broncos offense. He's the WR1 now and targets = more opportunities to score points.

Something like 65/1,000/7 isn't an absurd expectation.

I'd scoop Ivory. He's a top-40 back. Not bad for bench depth.

Jimmy and Gronk crippled you at RB2. I'd worry about securing an upgrade at RB2 rather than a receiver. Probably wouldn't accept Gronk for Jordy straight up. However, Gronk and Evans for Dezzy and RB filler is a deal.

Williams is the conventional, safer play. Latimer has upside, but his role is undefined and uncertain. Should see red-zone targets though, could present a TD option.

I would because I'm high on Ray as a redemption candidate. Dre proves many wrong but he doesn't nab a lot of TD for a higher-end WR, plus the QB play is suspect in Houston for this season.

yall think i should switch my WRs for wk 1? I'm thinking of switching nelson and boldin since boldin is against dallas wk 1. Tate will get touches because of attention on megatron but if the giants secondary is as good on field as is on paper, it might be better off switching to one of the other receivers on the bench

I'd consider starting Q (Boldin) over Gerhart. Jags might go down quick and big against Philly in W1. Try packaging Rudolph in a deal instead of worry about who to start between Olsen and Kyle weekly.

.5PPR. Thinking about offering my Zac Stacy + Pierre Garçon + Mike Evans for his Doug Martin + Knowshon Moreno/Stevan Ridley + Golden Tate.

My other RBs are Bernard, Woodhead, Hill, and Robinson. Leaning more towards Moreno because I don't trust Ridley.

Thoughts?

Don't like it, Freddie. Stacy is a concern to be surpassed by Benny and Mason for Fisher. But Tedford runs RBBC in Tampa. Don't like either Moreno or Ridley. Tate should serve as a PPR machine with YAC to boot, but Garcon is better in every espect.

In the 16 team NT Deep League I took a chance on Cutler over Romo and Rivers. I hope I don't regret that I also feel like my RB's Ball and Vereen can either be really good or really bad, it's a PPR league so I'm hoping really good. I have Marshall and V. Jackson at WR, nervous about Jackson. My FLEX can be MJD, Benjamin, Hartline or Cotchery. Everyone's down on MJD but for some reason I have a semi-good feeling on him. McFadden looks like absolute trash so I'm not concerned with him.

Vobach, I'm probably not going to part with Vereen this early, gonna see how he fares.

Can't go wrong when Rivers, Cutler, and Romo are lumped in the same tier. Phil could miss Whis. Cutler has Trestman. Romo is mercurial. All in a tier after Ice and Brady.

my first 16 team. i think my starting squad is solid. but my bench is lacking RB depth, might cost me when starters are on bye.

Like Wheaton on your bench. Since you have Devonta potentially in the Flex, I'd shop Wayne and Thomas to see what you can get for a RB2 upgrade.

I wouldn't pick up any of the three WR you mentioned. Stay put. Sammy might be one of the first to drop if an alluring prospect becomes available in FA.

Thinking about dropping Ladarius Green for Tim Wright, and Jonathan Grimes for Lance Dunbar......thoughts?

Ladarius has all the potential in the world but he still didn't do literally anything all preseason. Still looks like the same raw young player. Kinda scared to drop him and he flips the switch and turns into the next Julius Thomas though.

You saw Wright in Tampa. He's going to catch balls in double-TE sets with Gronk. I fancy Green and Wright over Grimes and Dunbar.

Can I get any advice on my team? 12 league PPR format. This is my second team I have ever made and I am nervous about my starting RBs and TEs. Should I start Boldin in my flex rather than Thomas? How can I go about improving? Thanks

Good RB depth. Ertz is great insurance for a Reed injury. You shafted the Rice owner by handcuffing Pierce, which is good for your cause.

My boy wants Carlos Hyde. I know I need WRs and he has Marques Colston, Brandin Cooks, and Steve Smith that I know he may be down to part with. Should I make a trade, or stay put with this roster until the season starts. Also, I'm currently waiting on a waiver pick up where I will be dropping Bradshaw and picking up Markus Wheaton.

Yes, Walker is steady production but for a backup you take the risk with upside in Wright.

I'm eyeing the Saints D on my WW, feel like they could be in for a big year. Vaccaro in year 2, addition of Byrd. Consistency in sacks is a mark of a good fantasy defense and Ryan may finally be able to dial up the blitzes with success this season.
