It really bothers me that people don't understand CIRCUMSTANCE when comparing player contracts. It isn't as simple as Contract of Player A vs. Contract of Player B. Team need, situation, date of signage all play a role. Also, how desperate is that team to keep THAT player.

Example, Wall might not have gotten that much if he were to sign with another team but since the Wizards NEED him to build around him, they are more willing to give that up.

Just like females.

If Kobe (equivalency of a good team) had a date with Kyla Pratt, he doesn't have to pay as much as I (normal dude, bad team) might have to spend more $ on a date with someone not even close to Kyla.

Now does that mean my girl is a better quality girl than Kyla? No. It just means MY situation causes me to spend more on her than Kobe's situation causes him to spend on his girl.
Kobe is dropping more cheese on Kyla Pratt than you would on your girl

you just dont have the option to spend that money, and he wont miss it as much as you will

seems like all of Kyla's pics are really tasteful, I'm ok with that for some reason

What I've been preaching for a while now. Dudes in here just look at contracts and throw out the word overated, overpaid blah blah blah when not looking at the situation at that point in time.

I have more to lose by NOT spending money on my "not up to par" date than Kobe has to lose by NOT spending on his "up to par" date.

Point is, the Wizards have to invest more because they have more to lose when losing Wall than the Warriors would lose if they lost Steph.

He was the 3rd best SG in the league when healthy IDC what anyone says, I liked him more than Wade at times but I know that wouldnt be the prevailing opinion on the matter.

3rd best?

We're just gonna act like Reke, ginobli, reddick, korver and rip Hamilton weren't breathing? Oh, okay brah, I see wut u did there.
Brandon Roy wasn't better than those people in 2008 and 2009? Lol at those names you listed sans Manu, L-O-L
Wheres Solarius? I want to talk about Danny Granger.

sorry bro, I was hungover as ****
So what do you think is gonna happen with him? I would like to see them resign him but they definitely won't give him what he wants.

I dont see how he can really demand that much.  a 30 year old fringe all star coming off a terrible injury can't demand that much money.  But the team does have alot of loyalty to him, since he kept their heads afloat during the lean post-Malice in the Palace years.  I hope he gets taken care of, but I expect him to take a pay cut.  Otherwise....I think Memphis would be a nice spot for him.

Anybody remember when dudes on here were saying KD wasn't as good as Danny Granger after KD's 2nd season?

Remember when KD vs. Al Horford for Rookie of the Year was an argument people were trying to make?

 Forgot about that.

Horford supposedly deserved it more because Atlanta made the playoffs

I remember KD got murked by this dude from OSU named Boggan (gave him like 30, 28, and the GW) and tons of "see this si why he can't play in the nba, too weak, too slow" posts came up, which then only crescendoed after his mediocre showing at the athleticism combine and everyone making a big deal aobut not being able to bench 185lbs, even though a basketball doesn't weigh that much.

Ty is definitely one of the fastest in the league with the ball.

Even the special German treatment in Europe couldn't save B-Roy's knees.

its a tossup IMO

KD - 20, 4 on 43% shooting

Horford - 10 and 10 on 50% shooting.

Plus, lets be real.  You guys use that "empty stats on a bad team" to justify everything else, so why would it be different here?

Obviously KD has developed into the better player, but lets not act like the gap is HUGE, Horford is just coming off of a 17 and 10, 3, 1, 1 season on 53% shooting

Yea I put Lawson with Parker, Wall, Rose and Westbrook when it come to speed with the ball
