:lol :lol youre wasting your time fam nobody even put him down like that, nobody called him a bum.....although Bucem goin ham right now.

You really think hes going to make that top tier jump this year ? Otherwise there wont be an i told you so moment to speak of.

Russ going to be the 2nd best pg in the league behind Paul. He's entering his prime for the next 5-7 season. Crazy how that injury in the playoffs was the first time he missed a game since HS

So many bodies going to get caught in the D, Jennings need to get his lob game right. To be honest if Jennings plays well that Pistons team could be trouble for the top 4 in the east come playoff time, I don't have much hope for him though. Drummond is going to have a couple 15 and 20 games, can't wait to see him go against Hibbert, Jonas and Lopez

Buc Em = Skip Bayless? Dude has something against Wall for who knows what reason
Nothing is set in stone and nobody used the words, scrub, bum , or tried to write him off. Usually 3 yrs is enough to get a pretty good idea of the player youre dealing with, i think Wall is a good player at this point and thats it.

Hes not on the superstar level or a great player despite what NT wants, funny thing is i remember showing my boys his youtube HS clips saying omg he gonna be a problem. But he just hasnt made the jump yet so long are we going to wait ? 3 more mediocre years like hes only 25 give him time.
What is your response to this?

That stat kinda proves my point that hes not elite in the league right now, all the big dogs are above him on that list. And im not big on stats limited to certain age groups, seems too specific in comparison.

Please reread my OG post i didnt downgrade dude or even criticize him, i just dont think hes on par with the obvious elite vets..thats it.

By posting that link are u saying that hes top tier, on his way , or been top tier but people just sleeping on him ? srs question
I'm not saying that he's elite right now, I'm saying that he's on pace to be elite. "On pace" is the operative term here. Some random bum wouldn't be able to put up stats in the class of Chris Paul, Magic Johnson, Rose, Westbrook, Lebron, etc. It doesn't mean he's going to be as good as those guys, but there is enough evidence there to assume that he will most likely become an elite player at his position.

I don't care what stats or quotes you wanna show me...John Wall is the prototypical AAU-type point guard, and that's not a complement. That style of play is never going to win you games in the NBA.

I'd like to know...if the Wizards team this year stays pretty much fully healthy and they still go out and only win like 33 games this season will all of you still be praising Wall like this? The Bucks made the playoffs with 38 wins last year but I think the Cavs, Raptors and Pistons have potential to all win more games than that this year. The Bobcats and Magic have also improved. I really don't see the Wizards and Wall making as big a jump as you guys wanna make yourselves believe they will. I mean their only offseason additions were rookie Otto Porter and backup point guard Eric Maynor. That roster is still looking pretty ugly...
It's not that huge of a "jump" when the Wizards were legitimately a playoff-caliber team last year. From the point Wall came back to the end of the season, they were better than than the Bucks, who made the playoffs. They have a talented roster, they just need to stay healthy. Nene is a legitimate big man and they have plenty of 3-point shooters. And the Wizards defense was in the top 5-10 all year (not just with Wall, but through the entire season). Defense is a major advantage they have on Cleveland and Toronto.

I don't see how they only win 33 games, when they won 29 games with their best player missing half the season. But if that happens then yes, it would be a huge disappointment.

I don't think the Wizards are a certified lock to make the playoffs, given the adjustments other teams in the East have made. But I think they're a lock to be competitive and in the hunt, and barring injury I would personally bet on them making it.

One more thing...let me get this straight.

The boy D. Rose miss one season and now Westbrook is better than him?

Was any of ya'll saying that before 2012?

Westbrook is better now than he was in the beginning of last season, I wouldn't say he's better but they on the same level. Russ was 24 5 and 7 with a steal and a half per 36 while Rose was 22 3 and 8 just under a steal in his last season.

I'll take Russ defense and rebounding over one more assist from Rose, Russ PER was higher last season than Rose MVP year

No what? Wall isn't nearly as complete a player as Kyrie.

LOL..

I like Kyrie better but this is dumb. The only thing that Kyrie can do better is shoot.. His handle may be flashier but Wall can get anywhere he wants just the same.

The defensive end is not even close

Rose is without question the best PG in the league and top 3 player. Lebron, Durant, and Rose.

I mean dropping like 43 against bron and the heat in the finals compared to derrick rose choking multiple times against the heat in the ecf

I think Wall will continue to put up good stats on crap teams for the rest of his career, as will Cousins. Not saying they aren't talented players, they just aren't winners, leaders or who you want to build your team around.

Say a little bit later into their careers both of them get traded to more favorable winning situations with a couple other stars, vets that can control the team and in which they aren't the first or maybe not even second scoring option and that can change though.

So...we should judge both players on those 2 instances...and nothing more huh?

One guy loss better than the other one did.

OK.
