We've seen both of those already, too one-sided to deserve a rematch. I think it should be winner of Bute vs Pascal, but Ward wants to wait for Chavez Jr first.

I'd rather see Froch. I think age has caught up with Kessler, I'm a big fan but he'll get blown out again. Froch has improved a lot since that Ward fight.

it annoys the hell out of me that he can do so many buys yet there's so many critiquing the number.
Don't get me wrong. It's a gigantic number of sales. BUT. If people are going to tout it as the most profitable PPV ever, that's fine, but they didn't top Oscar/Floyd.
I'm shocked it came as close as it did though. It proves what a star Mayweater is. Or proves how many idiots thought Canelo had a chance.

^ it terms of $$$, it did top Oscar/Floyd. I'd doubt anything tops Oscar/Floyd in terms of buys these days. There's too many illegal ways of viewing the fight for free. Only thing that might do it in terms of buys is May/Pac, period.

Doofus? You said how can they top Oscar/Floyd, when it didn't have more buys. That is the only category it didn't top Oscar/Floyd. In terms of revenue (which is all that matters), it absolutely topped it.

When they finish the totally count (weeks, months after) it will most likely top the buys also. May/Hoya was only at 2.15 at first, once they finish counting months later it jumped to 2.5.That's what my entire point was doofus.

You get to see a bit of his trainin. The recent episodes just show what he does with his crew like shopping and performing. I think as he gets closer to his fight, it will show more boxing.

Was walking through the MGM in Vegas today. The Casino area. Saw some cat wearing mad red (noticed the Fire Red Vs) playing at a table.

No I understood that they surpassed Oscar/Mayweather in terms of revenue, but the more impressive stat is PPV buys, which was my original point was if you had followed what I said originally.

Why is PPV buys the more impressive stat? Especially when the cost of the HD broadcast (which makes the up the majority of the buys) is like $25 more than Oscar/Floyd.
It's pointless arguing this right now anyways since we don't know the final PPV numbers. Like everyone said the preliminary numbers so far are a big higher than for Oscar/Floyd so it may end up matching it when the final numbers come in.

The revenue brought in doesn't tell you how many people actually watched the fight. So in a certain aspect, that's what makes the buys more impressive.

I agree in that aspect, it is more impressive. But end of the day, how much money is made is all that matters. You could have 4 million buys if you price it at half the price, but what are you really saying then?
