Official 2013-2014 Boston Celtics Season Thread (10-12) @ BKN

40 point win in MSG though ?

It's crazy to watch the young talent this team has. Rondo and Olynyk aint eem on the floor :x :hat

Ainge is basically looking like a genius right now. The Nets are abysmal and absolutely crippled moving forward. The Knicks are staring another losing season in the face and they dont even seem to care. Melo was supposed to be the savior and now Knick fans are wondering what they can get back for him in a trade before he bounces on them in the offseason :eek :hat :rollin

Perfect.

That game was nuts. I am glad the team is staying competitive, and Rondo comes back soon. Crazy, in the Atlantic we might just win this thing. :rollin

Fams, who else really likes Jarred Sullinger ? Not even just his game. Im talking about his arrogance on the court and his confidence when talking to reporters. He knows he can ball and hes out there to do well and win games. What will he look like next year when he gets chiseled over the summer ? At the moment, he's basically fat. :lol :lol

Sullinger is the future of the Celtics :hat He's that good IMO

I agree. I hope this Asik stuff doesn't blow up in our face

Would you be comfortable letting go of Jeff Green, Gerald Wallace, and possibly a high draft pick in a three way deal with Philly and Houston to land Asik ?

It's obviously a good look to get Wallace and his salary off of our roster, although I like Wallace a lot. He's seemingly been great so far as a veteran leader in the locker room . He doesn't fit in with the team moving forward though, obviously.

I like Jeff Green a lot and don't really want to see him leave. I feel like there's so much untapped potential. The dude can fly. His jumper is butter. He's just a little too passive and tends to disappear in long stretches. Still, like many other on this young Celtics team, hes not afraid to take THE shot . I want him to stay no doubt.

I don't really want to let go of a first round pick, either.

All in all I'd probably just rather have the Celtics stay put if Green is included in the deal. I feel like we have this plethora of young promising talent (I realize Jeff is a little older) and I don't really want to see it interrupted or compromised. However, if we can land Asik in a deal for Bass. . . . im all in.

:rollin Wow no way, absolutely no way. I don't want Gerald but parting with a high pick and Jeff would be what I'm talking about, just blowing up in our face. Asik isn't that good.

Im saying . I think Jeff is far more valuable to this team than basically anyone/anything we could realistically trade him for .

I want to see if this team is going to take it to that next level when Rondo returns. I think there's a good chemistry and flow to the offense;hopefully Rondo can come in an fit in right away. Other than bringing the ball up and his traditional point guard duties in the half court offense, I don't necessarily want the whole offense to go through Rondo's hands every single play. I just want to drop him into this lineup and watch him do work, but I don't want Stevens to change everything up because Rondo wants to get his 10+ assists per night.

Looks like Bass, Courtney Lee, and possibly a first round pick for Asik.

Im on board. Courtney has dissapointed imo.

C's cooking early. 42 points in the quarter and Wallace floated up a lob with 0.02 seconds left on the clock and Sullinger tapped it in to end the 1st.

Avery Bradley's jumper has been falling as of late. Not afraid to jack up the three ball whatsoever :smokin

Wow, no activity in a while. Pretty obviously in tank mode giving Crawford and Brooks away. Keep Rondo or trade him away and rebuild without him? Such rare talents at his position and height.

I lost interest for a little while there ; too focused on the Pats and a few other things I had going on. About to get this thread popping though 8o

As far as Rondo goes, plz keep him. Unless someone drastically overcompensates and/or it seems he doesnt want to extend with us, i want us to sign him for the long haul. He's one of the most talented players in the L, and thats without a jumper. If he can hit his jumpers consistently . . .

This team will end up with a top 3 pick if it keeps this up, which is what we need. :smokin

Boston clearly doesn't have the personnel to compete like this did a couple months ago but I thought that Courtney Lee trade was dumb. Also, if Charlotte had a chance of making the post season, there is no way we don't have a chance.

Why was the Courtney Lee trade a mistake? Courtney Lee is a good player. He seems like a good dude and a true professional; an excellent piece on a contending team. Hes also playing on a contract he signed when Ainge was trying to make a final push w PP and KG. Getting rid of his contract was the obvious move.

I just want them to keep losing at this point. I was blinded by the play of Crawford; thought they could compete :{ Im officially in tank mode :lol :lol

You HAVE to be in tank mode. Watching this team go up against some of the chip contenders should be enough to make you want to tank. There's just not a lot of talent out there. I agree that we should keep shedding contracts and get rid of guys that don't fit into the future. Lee was one of those guys. When he was acquired during the big 3 era, he stunk up the joint. Now that he was playing better, sell high buy low.

What do you guys think about Chris Johnson? I see something there. He has the potential to be a solid all around swing guy. Love the kid's hustle, although he's vying for a spot so it should come as no surprise.

Chris Johnson was on Boston's roster a couple of seasons ago and got moved. Same thing will happen after this season I assume.

Chris Johnson is nice. Always going 100% and getting back on D.

Jerryd Bayless is balling tonight 6/7 for 15 points with ten minutes to go. Shot is butter.

Sullinger is legit. 15-10 all day long :hat

Things getting a little testy out there

Wallace, Bayless, Sullinger all balling.

Green's timing a little off to start the night.

Tommy calling Olynik the best passer on the team

Like I said a few days earlier, watching CJ is joy. Love the hunger.

Looking forward to another big night for Sullinger :hat

Rondo out again tonight I believe. Not sure about AB.

Always a pleasure to watch Dirk do work.
