Zack Greinke (elbow) thinks he won't have to miss a turn at the start of the regular season.
Greinke threw 43 pitches over four scoreless innings in a minor league game Wednesday, reporting afterwards that his arm "felt really good... It felt strong." The right-hander is scheduled to pitch twice more during the exhibition season, on March 25 and 30, and he believes that will be enough to build up arm strength and have ideal sharpness. It would potentially line him up for his Dodgers' regular season debut on April 5. It's not the second game of the season that he had originally been slated for, but, all things considered, the Dodgers would certainly take it. Mar 20 - 6:20 PM
Dodgers GM Ned Colletti said Tuesday that he believes Carl Crawford (elbow) will be ready for Opening Day.
Crawford has finally progressed to live game action, even picking up a pair of hits and an RBI in Monday's tilt with the Diamondbacks. He still hasn't manned his position defensively, which is a hurdle that will need to be climbed before he's cleared for Opening Day. But given Colletti's optimism, it appears Crawford might avoid the disabled list after all. Mar 19 - 7:48 PM
