Official 2011 San Francisco Giants Season Thread (86-76) 2nd Place in NL West

this is a red flag, imo.

neukom wanted to increase payroll and compete while "executive committee" wanted to save the money for a "rainy day fund".

Good game.
Beltran's splash hit

I hadn't seen ATT that empty in a long time.

I do, I've been relatively busy at work and at home so I haven't watched many games the last week.  Plus with football beginning, that had my attention Thursday, Sunday and Monday.

I know I might sound crazy but we are still in this for the wild card, all it takes is one more good week of ball and so-so ones from atlanta and st. louis and you just never know what can happen. Panda is killing it right now, hitting for the cycle tonight!

That the thin so-so play from two teams is just so unlikely.

If Atlanta goes just 6-6 in their last 12, the Giants would have to go 12-0 just to tie. I applaud your optimism.
To Red's question, I still care. I watch every game or listen on the radio if I'm in my car. I'm just not on NT as much as I used to be.

I'm not saying it's wrong to want them to win and finish the season on a strong note but to think they are still in this is crazy.

Not a hardcore giants fan but my dad is, that being said the only reason why i can get through an entire game is becasue of Kuiper and Krukow
