Hard to knock Beltran this early since he hasn't been playing. It's not like its a pre-existing injury he had and we traded for.

DLand, aren't Timmy and Cain under contract when Zito and Rowand clear (Zeet may require a buy out)?

Timmy is not going anywhere IMO.
I know things are frustrating right now but the future is bright for the next 3-5 seasons with Belt, Posey, Pablo, Gary Brown, and money to make some FA acquisitions.

Zito's contract is over the same year that Lincecum becomes a free agent. Rowand's is done after next season when Cain becomes a free agent.

What is this money you speak of? Assuming payroll doesn't jump drastically, essentially any money they gain from expiring contracts goes right back into raises for arbitration eligible players and an extension for Cain.
