@extrabaggs Just got off phone with Posey. He says he's almost certainly out for the year, but is 100 percent committed to returning as a catcher.

And did we really just bring Belt up again to ride the bench???  Sit Huff his ABs have been dreadful!

I just dont get it. Both times which we put Belt on the roster, it made no sense. Not because he isnt big league ready per se.

Time one - I kept asking myself the question, if Cody Ross wasnt hurt, would Belt have made the team? The answer was a clear no, so there was no point in bringing him up.

Time two - I know its only been 2 games since he has been here, and I know we lost three position players in a couple day stretch prior, but none of the injured players play his position. What the hell was the point of bringing him up now? He is still blocked at the positions he plays. Why bring him up to ride pine?

I think that Belt, especially now, is either big league ready or VERY close. But if he isnt going to play, dont bring him up. Simple.
