I'm officially on the back side of my 30's.
I don't remember all that much of the '81 chip, but the '88 is still very, very clear in my memory..
Hey, once this team sells, anybody in for a celebratory Dodgers game?

I just feel bad for my sons (8 and 3)...
The best thing my oldest has had as a Dodgers fan was Manny..
(we were there for his first game. the friday night game. i'll admit it was a "goosebump" night. but we quickly realized why he wore out his welcome in Boston)
But I don't want to end up like my older friends who are Cubs fans or Vikings fans. Teams who haven't won something in 40+ years (in the Cubs case, grandparents don't even remember).
We have one of the worst farm systems in baseball. it's a far cry from 5 years in a row in the early to mid 90's. we haven't had a ROY since '96. pretty convenient that that was pretty much spot on to when O'malley sold the team.
I could go on and on, but I'm starting to sound like a cranky old man..

Don't worry jbug ironman and iyn are right behind you age wise.
But those 5 in a row roys were cool and all but them guys still didn't get the dodgers over the hump as they say.
