OFFICIAL 2010-2011 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD : VOL. MOST. ANTICIPATED. PLAYOFFS. EVER?

It's all preference IMO NaS.

I put more confidence on my team if I'm acquiring Marc than if I Horford.

It's all relative though. The margin isn't that much between the two. Both are good Centers.

Chicago had 33 when I checked, and 16 of those were Kurt Thomas.

Yet they have 13 more rebounds than the Knicks and the game is tied at 62 at halftime in MSG.

Thornton's played damn near the whole first half.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a trend and not just an outlier.

I wouldn't say Horford is as good as Bogut and Noah.

IMO we got..

Dwight

Noah, Bogut, Nene, Marc

The rest of the field (including guys like Horford, Tyson Chandler, Brook Lopez, Hibbert, Okafor.

Marc and Horford bridge the gap between the rest of the field IMO.

Nene and Marc aren't on that second level yet.  Horford is better than all four of those guys you listed with him.  He's carrying that team and has the best PER outside of Dwight among centers.  He helped them stay above .500 when JJ was out.  FG% getting better, less turnovers, rebounding better, a very improved passer from the paint and from the perimeter and defending better.  He's rounding his game into what Bosh was doing when he was in Toronto, playing outside and bringing it more inside and wearing defenses down.  Only reason he's not putting up those same numbers is because he's got a bunch of other offensive weapons on that team.  Plus, he's playing the David Lee role; a 4 playing a 5 role.  Marc and Nene don't carry their teams with their play when the other players are out IMO.

Indiana has a pressing need for a PF, so I think they'll try and address that before trading Granger. Maybe they can make a run at someone like Carl Landry.

I think if Jim played Tyler more at the 4 with Hibbert, they'd have a partial solution. Maybe bring in another 4 to spell him for 10-15 a game.  I still think Landry is going back to Houston when it's all said and done.  I know they thought they'd be playoff contenders this year and next with Granger but Igoudala would fit more of what they need.  Put him at the 2, give George more minutes at the 3 and I think they'd be good.

Hornets got the best defense in the league.

dont see CP3 losing that number 1 spot anytime soon if u seen a game

Easily.

I'd say Nene is a fringe "second-level" guy. Gasol isn't utilized enough to be, though.

But Horford is absolutely there.

Really? I don't take Horford over Nene ANY day.

I've always had a soft-spot for his game though.
