OFFICIAL 2010-2011 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD : VOL. MOST. ANTICIPATED. PLAYOFFS. EVER?

Tough game for Curry, but Ellis made up for it... Big night from him.

Wright's 3 really brought on some energy for GS.

Lakers entered the playoffs running on fumes last year and won the title.

Better?

LA still had the one seed after all that right? LA NEEDS homecourt.

4th seed ain't going to cut it with this team.

Doing fine man you?.

We won in OKC, Utah, Phx, and Boston.

This is kind of a random question, but maybe some Suns fans can help me out here.

What's the deal with Earl Clark?

Just another versatile/ skilled dude with a good frame that doesn't take the game seriously enough (Marvin Williams?) or does he just need more of an opportunity?

I was big on his potential coming out of Louisville, but also weary about his desire. I don't think Orlando is the right fit for him either, but he has the tools and potential, just maybe not the passion, it seems.

Great game from Miami.

LAL really looking sluggish this year.

Only wins against good teams?

Phoenix, Portland, Chicago,

Losses to Denver, Phoenix, Utah, Chicago, Milwaukee, and now Miami.

That's only three wins which were against legitimate teams, while piling up 9 losses early on, a lot against teams they shouldn't be losing to.

This can't lie, this is one stat that I've stuck strongly with. I don't agree with a lot of what Hollinger spits out, but strength of opponents, it's just a computed value of wins/losses against the teams they've played.

http://espn.go.com/nba/ho...nkings/_/page/2/sort/sos

Lakers? Dead last, EASIEST schedule thus far, and they're tied for third in the West with Utah.

Overall? Tied for 5th overall with Utah.

Spurs, Mavs, C's, Heat, Lakers, Jazz.

Spurs are ranked 23rd in strength of oppoents, Mavs are fifth, Celtic's 11th, Jazz 8th.

I'm not saying anything about the Playoffs, but the Lakers NEED to get it going. They're looking to not have home-court against teams if they go to the WCF, and if they play teams like Dallas, they may need that game 7 at home. But more importantly, if they play a team like Boston and they end up going to Boston for game 7.......... I'm just saying.

If the Lakers have had the easiest schedule thus far and they are underachieving like this, what happens when they get to their ROUGH part of the schedule?

That Bosh dunk made me cough up some turkey!

I still think it doesn't matter for the Lakers like the Celtics last year in the second half.

But BOS didn't win last year tho.
Unless they gave out "we try our best championships."

Remember last year when everybody was a little worried about the Lakers because they hit a rough skid and it looked like the Artest thing wasn't working?

Stop. They'll be fine. Somebody still has to beat them 4 outta 7 in May and June.
