EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.-The Minnesota Vikings first-round draft pick Percy Harvin has been hospitalized due to severe dehydration

Coach Brad Childress says Harvin became ill Thursday on a flight to Atlanta. From there he was scheduled to continue to the Twin Cities for the team's weekend rookie minicamp.

However, the wide receiver vomited on the flight and was sent to an Atlanta hospital as a precaution. Childress also says doctors ruled out the swine flu.

Harvin was picked by the Vikings in the first round with the 22nd overall pick in the NFL draft last weekend.
Childress says Harvin is expected to be released from the hospital in a day or two.

The Minnesota Vikings weren't the only team interested in Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin. The New York Jets and New England Patriots were, too, with the Jets so eager they offered Philadelphia an attractive package of draft picks to move to the Eagles' 21st position -- one spot ahead of Minnesota.

As we know now, the Eagles didn't bite. Instead, they moved up two spots to draft wide receiver Jeremy Maclin at the 19th spot.

But that was only after they were approached by the Jets with an offer of four draft picks, including two in 2010. According to someone with knowledge of the situation, one of those was "a high first-day pick," and the other was a high second-day choice -- presumably a third or fourth rounder.

Thank god that didn't happen.
4 Draft picks for Harvin?!

Brilliant . Rams have moved jason Smith to RT already.
So they basically drafted a RT in the #2 spot.

franchise is a JOKE

^ If it was, they should have drafted Loadholt or someone in the 2nd or 3rd not #2 overall

If that's the plan, why draft him at #2? You don't use 1st rounders on RT's, let alone Top 5.

Could have took Loadholt in the 2nd or 3rd.
