The man hasn't coached a game yet and you're saying this already? At least Mark Jackson can coach a 50 win team (in the west no less) and make it to the playoffs. Gotta be easy with that.

dfish can at least command the respect of his players. mark pretty much did nothing but give motivational speeches. thats cool and all, but id rather have a coach with no experience, but has played on/for winners.

Expectations are and always should be low. Thats a given.

For those that don't like the coaching hire just need to accept it. Ya'll wanted Phil, this is what comes with Phil. If it was Dolan's choice he would have just hired Mark Jackson and then he would have gotten fired in two years time for under-achieving. Phil's trying to break that cycle and turn things around inside. Let him cook.

The more I think about it, the more I like this hiring of D.Fish. Fisherking.

But, I am not cool with Rick Fox on the coaching staff. Dude was terrible in OZ.

In that case, you go coach a team, clap your hands and say "good job, let's get back on D" and "stay hungry". See how that pans out. Don't undervalue coaches. Most of the time, coaching is done in training camp and practices. You also have to have respect from your players for them to at least play for you and those motivational speeches, so Mark Jackson's respect was already implied in that. The Warriors players also didn't want to see him go. If that's not respect, idk what is.
