Bron never wanted any part of Melo on the defensive side.

Those Miami heat teams would have Battier guard Melo for 3.5 quarters and let Lebron take a break on the defensive side. Then at around 6 mins into the 4th, you'd see LeBron on Melo. All the while, Melo was on LeBron for the entire game :lol

ehhh it wasnt the case in every game. melo wouldnt solely guard bron. he did more than bron guarded him, but not the whole game.

Melo probably has the best spin move in the league for any SF going towards the basket.

One good thing about him on defense is he's always been a cheeky stripper of the ball. Quick hands.

Melo has consistently smoked Bron in one and one matchups.

He's the only player that LeBron looks intimidated to guard.

I really want to see Phil put a contender around this man and give him the chance to win that he deserves.

Word dude got fat after he got suspended for running from Nate Robinson and started playing like a slightly more agile Michael Sweetney

Damn, we should have gave Ivan Johnson a look. Dallas just signed him with a partially guaranteed contract.

I remember him KILLING us a couple of years ago.:lol

It's phenomenal the amount of times Reggie Evans' name is said in this thread.

what else is there 2 post durin the off season?

:rollin
haven't seen this before omgawd

and i tried to change my game to mimic Melo's back in highschool. mostly the triple threat tho.

Melo's game winner vs Bron/Cavs will always be good to watch. especially, since they were going back and forth the whole game. i remember Melo smiling after Bron hit a jumpshot like 'ok Bron, i see you'

when we faced the Celtics in '11, we shouldve won both games in Boston. cotdamn illegal screen by KG on TD in game 1 & Bill Walker's goon instincts in game 2.

Purp & Billy were nice tho. i know i cant e the only one who thinks that. Shawne's dunk on Dwight/ Bill Walkers 3 at the end of the 1st half of the 1st game of Melo vs Bron in MIA.

I remember a lot of ppl said Melo looked like a female with the braids in his rookie year :lol but Amare did alright with the struggle braids. minus the post moves. *cue the dunk on Tyrus Thomas*

Word man, I swear I was gonna bring this up awhile back but I forgot to in the midst of one of my other rants.

Im always wondering this ****. Why would anybody want Reggie Evans near this team? Dude is an absolute waste of space on the floor, but some of yall bring him up in here acting like he is Charles Oakley 2.0 because he grabs alot of rebounds per minute.

Reggie Evans is undersized, very unathletic, and has negative offensive ability. He is a defense liability outside of his relentless flopping/ grabbing dudes in the nuts and ****, and brings nothing to the table whatsoever outside of grabbing rebounds. However, he is not even worth keeping on the floor for his rebounding because having him out there is like playing 4 on 5 in every other area of the game.

I wouldnt want Reggie Evans on this team if we could sign him for free, simply because his roster spot would be much better utilized in the form of Jeremy Tyler or Cole Aldrich. **** if we are looking for a hustle guy, Antentokuombo could probably contribute alot more than Evans could to this team right away, and he wont even get a roster spot this season. And I havent even mentioned the fact that Evans is 34 years old. **** if were going to add a veteran forward to come off the bench (something I am not against for the record) it better be Metta or K-Mart.

He is a career journey man for a reason, and thats a generous label for him. He is not Dennis Rodman or Charles Oakley. **** he isnt even the same caliber as Birdman or Ronny Turiaf. Dude is trash and he always has been. Can we please stop bringing up his name?

I like his energy and effort. Dude's always in the mix when it counts. Not some key piece. Not a star. Who in this thread has ever treated him like anything above his station? 8o :lol

Dude isnt even what most of yall are trying to act like he is. At one point in his career he might have been a serviceable role player, but he is definitely past that now at age 34.

He has always been a liability everywhere on the court. How else can you explain the fact that he has been a journey man throughout his career, and has never been able to get consistent minutes on a winning team despite being the best rebound rate player over the last decade? You dont think winning teams would be able to utilize a rebounder like him coming off the bench? You would think the guy has been a key cog on the Spurs bench for the last 5 years the way yall bring him up in this thread.

Reggie Evans is a bum. You cant even hide him on the floor just to utilize his rebounding abilities. Grabbing dudes in the nuts and flopping is a lot different than actually playing good defense. Or even tough defense, for that matter.

Kenyon Martin would come in, use his fouls right, and play good tough defense for the Knicks last year. If Evans were a better defender he would have found a place for himself in the NBA. Not to mention he may actually be the single most useless offensive player in the NBA. And hes not big or athletic.

But to bring him up for this roster is absolutely ridiculous. Especially as a 34 year old. Let him rot away at the end of the Sacramento Kings' bench. I mean lets just take a look at where we are at right now.

Starters:

PG: Calderon

SG: Hardaway Jr.

SF: Shumpert

PF: Anthony

C: Dalembert

Locks:

6: JR Smith

7: Prigioni

8: Stoudemire

9: Bargnani

10: Jason Smith

11: Larkin

12: Early

Probable:

13: Aldrich

14: Tyler

Questionable:

15: Murray

16: Ellington

17: Martin

18: Metta

19: Antentoukuombo

And yall are seriously bringing up Reggie Evans? ***** with that nonsense.

I would take any 19 of those guys over Evans in a millisecond, and only 15 make the final cut. I mean im still holding out hope that we are able to make some moves and potentially have a roster spot open by the time the season comes around to keep Kenyon Martin or Metta to round out the bench. Reggie Evans is the last player anybody should be concerning themselves with regarding this team right now.
