That's just it. I'm a grown man with a family, not some kid in the street with nothing to lose. You have to stand up for yourself. Don't be Johnathan Martin. However, It's security job to make sure nobody cuts the line. because if you say something to the cutters, they'll respond, a shoving match commences, and boom you have bedlam, and the guards now have to get in there to clean it up. it can all be avoided if the guards are proactive from the jump and not allow it to go down.
Not sure how it is in other cities, states etc, but a lot cats here in NYC are ruthless when it comes to sneakers or any material items. It's sad. But ask these same cats to do that for a job or something that will get them out out there parents house, they wouldn't go to those lengths.
I know myself, and the last thing I am going to do is be taken for a sucka. I also know that there are a few out there that will test you. It simply isn't worth the risk, not for some kicks.
Bottom line: The threat and reality of the lowlife losers cutting lines, coupled with "security guards" doing nothing about it, basically means I will NEVER do a lineup.
At the end of the day, the sneaker store will lose money -not a good business model provided how popular and easy it is to get kicks off the webz. This aint the 80s and 90s.
These stores need to adapt.
