Yeah no one said that, dudes just got in their feels for some reason over simple Convo and took it to 100. Relax.

Which is typical of these cats who lowkey are already insecure AF for not having some wheels....is the same ol argument with them, till they actually own a car or are forced to expand their world and then the perspective changes...yes this city has a great public system, but NOTHING WILL EVER BEAT THE CONVENIENCE OF OWNING A CAR.
Who hurt you man? You typing very emotional.Well the security blanket statement implies fear of said form of transportation.

And how much is parking normally?
Let's say I get a $2.5k, 1 br spot in Harlem. How much would parking cost?
And when you go out on the scene and you want to park somewhere?
Depends where in Harlem bro, some streets you can actually just park outside, just depends...if not there are parking garages that offer monthly parking...id say 200$ can get you a parking spot for a month, then if it's a newer building it might even come with parking...it all depends, having a car is an added expense, but the pros supercede the cons ALWAYS....having your own car as an option anywhere outside of the Manhattan(midtown-downtown) to DT Brooklyn bubble will always be a plus....my sisternlaws fiancée used to live in prospect park while she lived by Yankee stadium, when they first started dating and they would go out, dude would drop her off and embark on a 2 hour commute back home, it was so bad once dude fell asleep and rode the train all the way to the last stop and right back up the BX and when he woke up it was 4 hours later yeah his perspective of "oh I live in the city, I'll never need a car" changed REAL QUICK.
I once rocked from baychester in the BX all the way down to Manhattan Beach. 30 min drive or 2+ hour train ride, no competition.
Exactly. This dude is advocating for owning a vehicle in NYC (he doesn't even live there) for his own personal reasons. I haven't been snuffed on a NYC train or fear for my life so that car he drives into the city is also a security blanket for him.

Who said anyone was "scared" of riding a train or a bus
^^^^^^^^^^
This is the exact same trip I have to make almost daily.
Bx to Manhattan Beach Brooklyn. First stop on the B to the last stop on the B. Warriors ****
That train ride is brutal late at night, during bad weather, track repairs etc.
Now I actually look forward to getting in my whip and killing the Belt Pkwy x Van Wyck late at night.
NYC's public transportation system is world class but once you have you own vehicle to move how you want, you wonder how the hell you were living without one for so long.
And Uber x livery cabs on a consistent basis can be more expensive that owning a decent luxury car.
A $10 cab ride to work every morning is $200 a month. That just one trip, one way, 5 days out the week. Throw in a few other cab trips, metro cards, sprinkle in a Metro North ticket here and there and you have a 2013 BMW car note.
If you can get an insurance hookup or a decent insurance quote (minor miracle), get yourself some wheels and prosper.
I get it tho, when I was younger, no one could tell me anything about needing a car in NYC. Now I know different.
With your own wheels, you can take mini-vacations right within the city limits. It decreases your stress levels significantly.
All the expenses of owning a car such as gas tolls insurance and the tickets would add up. Would have to kiss my sneaker and $550 t shirt purchases good byethat used to be me.
after awhile u tend to get everything you ever wanted.
if I wasn't dead set on a extra brolic cuban I'd been got me a ZL1 or something of similar pedigree...
I don't care about being fly though, I'm not a fan of driving around when I could just sit and chill, maybe have a conversation with myself or something

Everyone has their preferences, mine doesn't involve driving everywhere. It is what it is, I also don't do airplanes
