I took my concealed carry course at the New Albany Shooting Range.
All CCW courses have to be 12 hours total, and cover the permit training requirements...the class i took was (3) 4hr sessions in the evenings...but i also know that they offer weekend courses.
I enjoyed the course, staff, and facility so much that I became a member at their range.

This one is a lot cheaper, but you must have your own ammo and handgun. What do you think?
im sure it will be fine. from you are writing about, it sounds like you are wanting a CCW...as long as the course meets the requirements, i say go for it. if you really want to take the course with your own gun, i would hold off on signing up for the course. I just wouldnt rush to buy a handgun just to take the course. I would invest some time and money at a range where you can shoot a variety of guns in different calibers to find out what you like shooting...
