NT's LEGAL Gun Thread UPDATE...First Youtube Firearm Review Page 61

Traded my glock 17 for a Walther PPQ on Friday. Dryfiring it the trigger was great; i'd read online it has the best trigger of any striker fired pistol and they ain't lying. Reset is incredibly short as well, shorter than any other pistol I've shot. So short in fact when I took it out Sunday to put it through it's paces a couple of times I thought the thing had gone full auto...until I realized the recoil plus the short reset was to blame. Put the last 140 rounds of my regular reloads, 20 rounds of my new recipe reloads, 30 rounds of gold dot, 15 rds of hydrashocks, and 10 or so winchester ranger-t. The gun fired all of them perfectly and accuracy was pretty damn good, slightly (but noticably) better than the glock. Recoil was a bit more noticable than the glock, but again, it's a 9mm.

Need you guys opinion on something too. I might trade my BCM AR for an Arsenal sgl-31 with about 1200 rounds of 5.45 ammo, 6 Bulgarian circle 10 magazines, 3 Tapco magazines, 2 Bulgarian circle 10 magazines (45 round capacity). I'd probably throw in 6 mags or so, and no ammo.

Would you do it? I figure i'll have the 16" AR finished this week or so, and I'd like to have an AK. But the 5.45 is so close ballistically to 5.56, though the cost between 5.45 and 7.62 is about the same, but 7.62 is available pretty much everywhere, and it looks like there might be a run on 5.45 with the newest import situation. I just don't know what to do. :o

Ill let the AR people give u their opinions on that but PPQ :hat

Shortest reset n the game and arguably best ergos of any polymer pistol.great buy

I got two bricks of federal .22lr for $.05 a round. Pretty happy with that. Went to my rents for my daughters bday this weekend n scooped up my 795. Time to get on that .22 build now that im finding bricks with some consistancy

^Where you getting that federal bro? I lucked up on a guy locally and got 2000 rounds of American Eagle for .05 a round but I want more.

I went to targetmaster. Big gun store/range that rents out fully autos to shoot an mp5 n sbr'd AR with my boy. Had an entire pallet of .22lr 1 brick per person per day. Stopped by again sunday when i was driving back home and it was all gone but they still had hugeee stocks of it. Only sellin 100 rds atta time tho till the next shipment unless u bought a gun. Guy was buyin a pistol slipped him 40 bucks (think they were 35 for fed. 30 for rem. N like 38 for 300 of cci)n he snagged me one :hat Then this mom and pops near me has it on the reg. But they charge online prices. Really jus save on shipping. 15 cent a rd.. :x

The illustrated story of me zeroing. Hah pretty bird wasnt too bright

Loved the UMP ever since Rainbow Six :lol Can't eem front I get my fantasy on playing vid games with some of these firearms.

But goodness that Sig is so dam handsome. Telling y'all the Sig P22Xs feel so freaking good in your hand. Hands down the best grip feel IMO by far (YMMV). As long as you keep her wet with lube and keep the rust monster away from her she'll be good for a really long time,

E, are you shooting well with it? Most people love it's accuracy right out the box. I'm not sure if I've ever owned a more accurate pistol...between that and my old Kimber for sure.

Dath, you're doing right by the stock market interest. Do well there and you'll be able to fund a nice lil arsenal my dude.

Sorry for the delayed response! I haven't been shooting in a really long time, I think it's approaching a year. I have been very happy with it. I have probably ran about 2,000 rounds through it, all but 4 of them flawlessly. I had a box of Remington UMC 9 that created 4 failures to feed. As for accuracy, I haven't really tested myself beyond 15-20 feet, outside of using the silhouette targets with the 4 different sizes representing different distances. I can keep pretty tight groups with it, but to be honest I usually get carried away with the short reset trigger and I can't help myself from unloading magazines (hey, it's practice).

I have a video from a while back, distance looks like 10-15 feet at most, where I run one magazine quickly (5-6 seconds for 20 rounds), and then put a little spacing between my shots, and my accuracy seems to be a lot better when I bother to focus. Sorry for the target, I was with my dad and he got a kick out of it. Probably too compressed to see the holes, but I'll share anyway.

No slide lock on first magazine (not sure if magazine or limp wristing), successful slide lock on second magazine. This was happening about 50% of the time with the 4 supplied 20 round magazines that came with the pistol. I haven't had the issue using the MecGar magazines.

I picked up my 2nd gun (92fs) on Tuesday. I swear the 10 day wait to pick it up seems like months. I wasted no time in changing out the plastic guide rod and putting on some flashy *** grips lol. My next gun is going to be a .45 and I'm leaning toward a Wilson Combat CQB or tactical elite.

Let me hold a stack. Ill teach you yhe ways of poppping soda fans from 10 yards and we can place are CQB orders together hah.

Beautiful beretta and cant wait to see the wilson

Nickel 92 with crimson grips is my cousins safe queen. Its beautiful

Finally dropped my upper for assembly on Saturday; picked it up yesterday. Switched a few things around with the rifles and up with this. Im kind of in love with the KISS carbine on the right.

Plan on breaking the barrel in with some ASYM ammo 77gr SMK. or just some cheap *** brass cased .223, whichever comes first.

-Rainier arms upper and lower receivers
-Daniel Defense lpk
-BCM upper parts (port door, forward assist, A2, gas tube, lo pro gas block)
-BCM 13" KMR rail
-Rainier Arms 16" stainless match barrel
-VLTOR A5 receiver, spring, buffer
-B5 Bravo

DAM!!! That's one beautiful Italian you have there Dinan!! She fancy huh? :lol

Yeah like JSJ I'd like to see that Wilson Combat...I know in advance she gonna be beautiful and capable at the same dam time.
Cotite you're making me want to make a Classic M-16/M4 build with that "carrying handle". I put it in quotes because drill sergeants go crazy if you actually use it to carry it :lol

Brothers I've been into my other shooting hobby...photography, but real talk that's why I decided to go back to school and finish my Masters degree. I need to make more money to support my hobbies. I need that Remington 700 dropped into a McMillan chassis with a Vortex high end front focal plane scope just because. Why all of us in here had to pick such an expensive hobby I don't know, I just know it's too much fun.

Only thing I think of when I see a Beretta 92 is Riggs chasing some random perp down....

Plus WC is getting into the Beretta game, I'm sure some super nice things will coming out the pipeline in the next few months.

I'll keep it going.

Played hooky from work to go to the range one day (best time to go). Old fella beside me was shooting his WC's, I asked him if he was gonna save his brass (yes, Im that guy at the range asking people near me if they want their brass). He said he usually saves it for his friend, but I was welcome to it if I wanted. We started talking a bit, talking about M&P's, and he offered to let me try his. He had a 9mm FS with the FSS aluminum trigger. That was literally the best trigger I've ever shot from a handgun, and the 10 yd target reflected that.

Long story short, I traded my 1911 Springfield Range Officer for a 9mm M&P CORE with a half dozen mags. The guy I traded with offered to let me come up to his family's property in WV and shoot whenever he goes.

Looking to trade my recently purchased CZ P-07 9mm for another M&P 9 with apex goodies, or sell it to fund one.

Ive decided (for the time being) to stick to M&P's in 9 and 45. Eventually I'll get a nice 1911, and another glock (especially since I have a nice stash of mags for both) but I'm in no rush. The M&P's do everything I need them to do for now, are easily serviced, accurate, and easy to find replacement parts and upgrades for.

Might as well post a pic of it while its still in my possession, BTW it shoots great, is very accurate, the double action trigger is long and heavy but smooth, but the single action is a long and spongy. Mike Pannone is currently running these.

I picked up my ddm4 over the weekend. Deciding whether I want to put magpul MBUS pop up sights (plastic) or troy battle sights (aluminum) on my AR.

Price difference is significant but not a major worry. More concerned whether the troy sights are the best bang for my buck in that price range or if I should be eyeballing a different set. Anybody have an opinion?

I had the Troy Micros on my Tavor. Awesome sights and we'll worth the money, I had to sell them to my boy because the rail is too low on the Tavor but they are amazing on his AR. I wouldn't cheap out for the MBUS, you won't regret buying the battle sights.

Stock is essentially the same minus the rubberized part. The rubberized grip is more comfortable in my opinion compared to a checkered plastic grip. Still deciding between an angled grip or vertical/fold-down forward grip. My boy just picked up an angled grip for his, so I'll have to go try it out.

Pretty set on getting these after doing further research.. :smokin

Had those exact ones, awesome sights and they feel like a quality part... Don't get the tritium rear as they just blur out when you're looking though them. Front is cool though.

Mike- check out the Magpul MBUS Pros. they're the the new hotness :p but really theyre lighter and lower profile than other folding buis, made of steel, pretty damn good from what Ive read.

Don't sleep on the the plastic MBUS though, they're a very option for not much coin.

I like the Colt too... I need to trade for an AK/AR alrdy
Copped a Remington r1 1911 for $525 after shipping and ffl transfer fee.

Fire deal. The r1s didnt get much traction. I cant see the gun ever being worth a penny less than what u paid for it

Wifey has shut me down fellas. Cant even cop ammo no more

Been shootin strictly .22 as a result. Guy beside my sunday was shootin a lwrc .308. I think my left eardrums ruptured hah

Same guy that brings his tavor sometimes. Must be nice to have tens of thousands to blow on weaponry. Id have a Lord of War arsenal.
