NTers who have worked in food places . . . y'all got any stories?

In n Out is probably one of the best fast food joints to work at. They pay is good and you get fed during lunch.

I worked there during my high school days and it was great. Employees, managers and even Store managers were cool.

We never did anything disgusting because we dont roll like that. One thing we do hate is picky people and their picky orders.

I remember this one dude used to roll in there (he was a dental assistant) 3 times out of the week to each lunch. 2 of those times he never had money so he always asked if he can "have a hamburger today and he'll gladly pay on tuesday". Manager was cool so he allowed it. But his order was just ridiculous.

Off the top of my head, he used to order: A double double with 3 pieces of lettuce, light spread with light mustard, meat slightly well done, fries slightly well done too. It was mad annoying for someone who isnt paying.

Another person used to always come in at about 9 pm and order 15 fries............................... FOR HER DOGS.

Depending on the location you worked at, customers were annoying for certain things. Example,

I worked in the city of Burbank and in the City of Van Nuys (panorama city to be exact)

Burbank was full of Armenians and Persian people. They ordered the spread by the pound, always asking for extra spread on their burger and on the side. Back then, we had to place the spread in a cup, now they have them in individual packs.

Van Nuys (panorama City) was full of mexicans (Im mexican) and they used to ask for those yellow chillies by the jar. We used to pre-pack those too, 2-3 chillies per little cup. People used to come up and ask for 10 cups at a time. Sometimes, they'd send one of their children to get more.

Again, we never did anything disgusting at In N Out, everything is truly fresh and nothing is frozen.

Tomatoes were cut every morning and through out the day.
Onions were cut and chopped every morning.
Lettuce is hand leafed every morning.
Potatoes are pealed every day.
Shake machines were taken apart and cleaned out every night.
Soda machines were also taken apart and cleaned out every night.

Bathrooms, rookie has to clean them and keep them fresh every 30 to an hour. After closing, a cleaning crew comes in and cleans the entire place up.

So if anyone ever says In n Out did them wrong, they're probably lying.

:hat

Worked at the golden arches as a young lad, never did or seen anything trifling but the people I worked with hygiene was not up to par... also from mickey d's, I learned Mexicans work way harder for way less than any of my fellow black people ever would.

Also spent a little time at Little Ceasars pizza, that place was a madhouse. It was literally a kid managing more kids... bright side I got to make an elephant ear while at work, manager approved and provided the supplies lol

Worked at Chipotle back in HS (when the food was great) with a few of my boys and even though we all worked together we never did anything childish. We knew that **** wasn't going to fly, manager was mad cool but made it clear that **** wouldnt be tolerated.

I'm not sure how it is now (since the food sucks) but when we worked there everything was high quality, from the guac to the sour cream to the meat to the chips even.. they were all made and prepped with fresh ingredients. Me and one of my boys would chop up a few extra jalapenos for the guac to give it a bit of a kick since we preferred it that way haha . Making a big *** batch of guac is no joke, it's a straight up work out mashing and mixing :lol

We were cool with the chef and every now and then he'd bring us some fresh chicken straight off of the grill (full pieces before it was chopped up) if we were in the back prepping, shh was sooo fire. We'd get free meals for our lunch breaks as well as food to take home (i dont know if that was allowed or if we just had a cool *** manager and stuff, either way we didn't care)

The only event I remember that was remotely grimey was my boy dipped his face in the sour cream (in the back prepping area) and did the Mrs. Doubtfire

:lol But it was in front of the manager and a lot of the staff so he knew what he was doing/knew it'd be thrown out right away.

I dont know if they stopped getting high quality food and ingredients, but I can't stand Chipotle anymore. When I was working there it was arguably my favorite fast food restaurant and I'm an In-N-Out fiend, but that stuff is disgusting to me now

Not fast food but more like perks of a job. I hand out paper towels and and gum in the bathroom at the club. $ is great but the perks are better. After a dude smashes in the stalls I get to finish her off. On some 6 hour shifts I get to hit up to 4 times.

I worked at KFC in 11th grade.

I dropped a "fresh" rack of chicken right out of the oven. **** was burning hot and the heat was getting through the cheap *** oven mitts they had.

Chicken fell, manager came over yelling. Told me to pick the chicken up. Then he placed it back on the pan and put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes.

Told the customers that we were working on a "fresh" batch of chicken and it would be a 5 minute wait.

I ended up quitting the job a couple of weeks later. Haven't been back to a KFC since :x

:x :{
