Really? It's nice to have a wallet with a photo of a mass murderer on it?

"The cult of Ernesto Che Guevara is an episode in the moral callousness of our time. Che was a totalitarian. He achieved nothing but disaster. Many of the early leaders of the Cuban Revolution favored a democratic or democratic-socialist direction for the new Cuba. But Che was a mainstay of the hardline pro-Soviet faction, and his faction won. Che presided over the Cuban Revolution's first firing squads. He founded Cuba's "labor camp" system—the system that was eventually employed to incarcerate gays, dissidents, and AIDS victims. To get himself killed, and to get a lot of other people killed, was central to Che's imagination. In the famous essay in which he issued his ringing call for "two, three, many Vietnams," he also spoke about martyrdom and managed to compose a number of chilling phrases: "Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become …"— and so on. He was killed in Bolivia in 1967, leading a guerrilla movement that had failed to enlist a single Bolivian peasant. And yet he succeeded in inspiring tens of thousands of middle class Latin-Americans to exit the universities and organize guerrilla insurgencies of their own. And these insurgencies likewise accomplished nothing, except to bring about the death of hundreds of thousands, and to set back the cause of Latin-American democracy—a tragedy on the hugest scale."

Strong post content to sig ratio.

:rolleyes

Guess everyone on NT got bmw's and gucci/LV wallets

I think most people who have BMWs, don't have designer wallets.

It's the ones without BMWs, or any luxury vehicles for that matter, that feel the need to compensate with a $400 piece of leather, and in some cases, even canvas :lol

i can confirm i am e92 owner with a 7 dollar case from amazon :lol

even if i didnt have my bmw still wouldnt buy gucci/louis not my cup of tea

What does that have to do with anything? My comment on the pointlessness of designer wallets is just that, my personal opinion. Doesn't make me think I'm better than you, or anyone else for that matter.

And trust me, I would tell you that your $400 wallet is a waste of money online and offline. Especially if you have to carry a balance just to afford it, which is actually a pretty common thing.

The way you judge people is what makes you come off as smug and immature. I work with plenty of people who are driving bmws and still living at home or struggling to get by. Yet you feel the need to come I here and judge people based on their wallets? Get outta here with that. And in case you haven't noticed most items people buy are pointless. We're on a shoe forum, is having 100 pairs of shoes necessary, is having a BMW necessary for transportation?

I bet you speak up to all the people that come to your business with their luxury goods, huh?

anyways back to the topic at hand.

for the dude that asked.

Well said.

It's a wallet why does it have to stand for anything :lol

Get over it :lol

It's a wallet that he picked out for a specific reason, either he supports dudes movement or he did it to rustle jimmies. I couldn't care less either way but don't act like he's not making a statement.

Didn't know you could make so many negative assumptions just from what kind of wallet someone has? Having expensive items doesn't automatically make a person a douche.

I hated Tumi but i got this wallet about 4 months ago and it is awesome. Just seems like that material that will never rip or get messed up in the long run. It's about $150 for it but I go through wallets all the time and if this holds up for over 4-5 years, it will be well worth it.

Sort of want to get this too since there is a sale going on at Tumi.com

You can say that about anything nowadays, shoes, clothes, etc.

True, but some shoes and clothes fit/feel better than others. The quality has a direct effect on the wearer. There is a proven correlation between quality and price, except when something gets too expensive and then you get diminishing returns.

But does a $400 wallet store money and cards better than a $10 wallet? I'm sure it feels different, but how long do you have your wallet in your hands? I can understand spending a lot on a wallet for 2 reasons:

1. It's a unique design that fits better in your pocket, allowing for greater comfort and/or ease of use.
2. Has something that a standard wallet doesn't have, such as RFID-blocking tech.

But meh, at the end of the day, people will do what they want with their money. I don't want to rustle anymore jimmies, you guys go ahead and post your Gucci/LV wallets idc idc idc.

I would never buy a $400 wallet, to be honest with you. That is kind of foolish in my opinion. I have a Ralph Lauren wallet that was a gift. It cost about $80. I would say it's better than the other $15 wallets I used to use. It's got better quality leather, more card/cash space, and I like the look. Therefore, it was a good gift. And if I were to have purchased it myself, it would have been worth it. I guess it also has qualities like you listed. :lol

I know what you mean though. $400 on a wallet that will hold tree fiddy is not a smart idea.

Shoes and quality, ill give you that. Clothes? Eh, I mean if were comparing Old Navy shirts to Nike products then yeah. Even high end designer clothing is just expensive cause of the name. And designer wallets, well LV anyway has great quality. This leather is going to last a lifetime. Its not going to hold money better but expensive jeans wont make it more comfy for you walking around all day than a pair of ON ones.

The only reasoning I have for purchasing my LV wallet is that im always going to have it/use it. Its not like $400 sunglasses that ill wear once or twice a week, I will literally have my wallet on me anytime im not at home. Thats how I reason it, and cause I like it. Simple.

Its like headphones, someone will post a pair of Beats and people will knock on em for it, not worth it, etc etc. Who cares. Let em cook.
