Exactly. Teams aren't in game shape yet and playing back to backs where they have to travel is a killer early in the season.

In April 2015, my brother went to Vegas and made two future bets for me, the Cubs and the Patriots winning their respective championships. Next weekend I'll be going to Vegas to cash these out, but the problem is that I only have one of the tickets/bet slips. Now is it possible for me to cash out on the other bet even if I lost the ticket? Or do I just take an L there?

I have heard that you have a photo of the ticket slip they will let you cash. But YMMV.

I desperately want to take the Chiefs, but I can't shake the feeling that I'm setting myself up. Raiders are a bad team and Carr isn't the one, so I have absolutely no faith in them. Just going to enjoy the game until the Lakers game starts.
