wish i knew more about the nba to be able to bet on it. what do you guys usually look for in nba match ups?
i normally like to see who is playing home first and than look at the previous matchups and outcomes. Look at teams injuries (if any).

I dont have the best strategy AT ALL, so dont take my word for it im sure ppl in here have a much better approach. I normally stick to Baseball/hockey/football. i was totally bored lastnight at 4am and had nothing to do so i

and went with what i liked after looking up some stats.

in regards of betting the over and under i usually combine the 2 team's PACE stat, which is possessions per game. More possessions usually result in higher scoring games

One small 4 team parlay going tonight dont want to show the amount or other bets i got in at the moment (normally mush myself on big ones)

im sorta second guessing myself right now about that Heat pick. Went with my gut feeling hope im right. :nerd:

took this same parlay , only i took ML on all games except Denver

lets get it :smokin

Deadset -- NBA is also a great place to test some teasers . depending on certain matchups , the bets are fairly easy to make . you can end up with a team like the bucks getting 19.5+ at the spurs or the Heat only giving 2 points on the road against the Knicks . thats where ive had a decent amount of success lately

word…thanks guys :pimp:

i might mix in an NBA game or two with my NHL bets.

for the NHL…thinking Anaheim, Chicago, and Pittsburgh tonight. my two qualifiers or disclaimers are that Chicago is in the middle of a 6 game win streak (don't like playing teams that are TOO hot typically) and Pittsburgh is on the road. Still might give it a go. those three teams have made me some good this year.

i took Penguins , Hawks and Coyotes tonight

there are a couple of +6 NFL teaser lines that are extremely appetizing :

Texans +3.5 at Jags
Chiefs +2.5 at Skins
Vikings +15 at Ravens
Titans +19 at Broncos
Chargers +3 vs Giants

didn't realize it's 4pm already on the west coast…missed the penguins start.

ended up going:

Blackhawks
Ducks
Heat
Thunder

welp…so much for that. heat gonna do me dirty like that

**** the nba

Miami regularly scrapes by W's against mediocre - poor teams. they haven't been covering the spread the past 2 or 3 weeks. they aren't a good bet for anything other than the ML.

that, and also Detroit is a sub .500 8th seed, their not exactly in the cellar w/ NY and BK

i took the 15+ for detroit in a teaser . whenever you can get 15 or more points in an NBA game for a team that isnt too far from .500 its a nice bet . also saw that wade wasnt playing

Blackhawks :smh:

Decided to go with

Basketball - 516 Golden State Warriors -6 -170 buying -2 for Game 1U

My upset special is Sparty to beat the spread against OSU. To win outright, if you dare. Which I believe will happen.

Also believe Mizzou will defeat Auburn. Just me.

Ucla. Smh bums

Okc let a ****** outscore them in the 4th to kill my okc -7.5. And this is without Cousins in the lineup. This can't be life

Warriors came through :pimp:, that game was way too close :smh:

^how did you get OKC -7.5? please tell me that was a live bet...they were +2 before the game started

ahhh Anaheim loses in a shootout...would have allowed me to successfully chase tonight

ahh well

I'm firmly against chasing , I think it's just a very bad state of mind to make a decision in.

Reminded me: I had a stats professor recommend a great book about prediction/probability etc. if you're in this thread then most likely you want to get better at prediction, I'm about 60 pages in and the book is awesome, you can 'download' the e-book easily. :nthat:

Great book. Helps change the way you think. Fooled by Randomness is another good one.

I will be teasing Oklahoma State and Michigan State Sat.

Just added it to my Goodreads list. Thanks for the suggestion.

yessir...same here.

thanks both of you for the book suggestions :pimp:

stork...woulda repped but i hit my limit for the day

EDIT: and agreed that chasing is flat out ******ed. i typically never even consider. just couldn't stop myself tonight  :smh:

hit on my NBA parlay and 4 of 9 in a teaser . cant believe the warriors came back to win either

3 Team 7 Point Teaser (5dimes)

•Toledo -2

•Michigan State -2

•Ohio State -3

Don't see how it loses.

whats the status of Aaron Rodgers for this week ?

put 5u down on Texans -3 last night on an impulse bet :nerd:
just feel like their defense can give the Jags fits . they have enough offensive weapons to move the ball and i dont trust the Jags on a short week

looking at the NFL lines in general i dont feel very confident about any of the lines for this week . Rams getting 7 at Arizona and the bucs giving 1.5 to the bills arent bad

You trust the Texans on a short week after losing a tough one to the Patriots? Watching that game it felt like their superbowl to me. They put a lot into that game and didn't get the result they wanted. Jags are feeling it a little now and Henne hasn't looked too bad either. Jags or nothing for me here.

I'm looking for a teaser option with Baltimore, possibly the Raiders because Geno is starting, but that loss to Dallas was a tough one.
