nice Prez...getting on that NHL action :pimp:

haha yep -- took your advice . had another NHL exclusive parlay i whiffed on today (had the maple leafs winning as the 3rd team) but other than the few bets ive placed on NHL this week have been winners

5u on the following teaser :

Rockets +10 @ Spurs
OSU -11 @ Michigan
Tenn +1 @ Kentucky
Texas A&M +10 @ Mizzou

Who knows about NHL lines and the puck line??

I'm thinking of getting into NHL bets but I am clueless on how the lines work for those games. Ex: Pitt Penguins -1.5 +180 @ Florida +1.5 -220. What does that mean?

Penguins: have to win by over 1.5 to win 180 by giving up 100
Panthers: you get a 1.5 point handicap and you win 100 by giving up 220

my NCAA/NHL parlay for the day:
Bama
Baylor
ASU
Penguins
Kings
Bruins

might do one just for the NHL games and with a couple other teams

UCLA +4.5 (2.5 units)

TWolves +2.5 (0.5 units)

nice man

came so close on 3 teasers/parlays yest . each one lost by only one game

have a parlay and teaser for today

Teaser
Broncos -0.5
Jags +12.5
Bucs + 14
Pats - 4
Seahawks pk

Parlay
Broncos -4.5
Jags +7.5
Pats ML
Falcons ML

Bookie's probably start to clean up with this weekend. I think I'm going with a few fade-the-public plays and that's it.

 No worries, man.

It's going against how the majority of bettors are going with. So, if 70-90% of bettors are on NE, then I'm going Houston

Typically -- and you see this on NT as an example -- the public is heavily influenced by teams that have big name players, looked good in a recent primetime game, have certain media attention, etc.

You take that "high" that the public is riding on and keep a level head and go against it on the matchups you feel good about because after Thanksgiving is when the books start to really clean up.

what is a fade the public play? pardon my ignorance

a great example of public play is NE where over 75% of the 'public' are on them. Sooo bet the opposite would be fading the public.

I'm actually thinking about doing the same..fade some plays too

edit: nvm ^ 651 got it covered

what's everyone like for the NFL today?

Leaning VIkings (pick 'em), Eagles (-3.5), Texans (+7)

Bears can't stop the run and both AP and Gerhart are running well. When that happens, Ponder usually plays pretty well. Add the divisional rival aspect and a home game for the Vikes and I think they pull it out. They may have sort of ended the Packers playoff dreams last weekend and look to do the same to the Bears today.

Cardinals are without their best running back on the year (Ellington) and that's only going to force Palmer to throw more. He'll get his usual yards, but we all know that the more Carson throws, the more likely the interceptions. He'll press and have a few turnovers. Arizona going from Southwest corner of U.S. to Northeast to play a hot Eagles team that will be well rested coming off a bye.

Texans is my most nervous play of the morning, because of all we know about them and the Patriots. However, like I was explaining to DSA...Public is riding on that info too...Looking deeper, Texans still have one of the better defenses in the league and Patriots coming off dramatic primetime win. Remember, Texans don't have to win...Just cover, right? It's a hunch that Texans keep it close. This is their SB...They tank after today.

Locked in those plays. 10 units each with a 1 unit parlay on the side with all 3 teams.

Vikings line actually moved to -1.

Added Carolina -6.5.

good analysis Paul

Thanks. :pimp:

Hopefully this morning goes well, but I'll still be back for afternoon plays. Liking the Chiefs.

Most of pregame shows are going against my plays. This is good. They are the definition of public.

^Great picks.

I was surprised that the public wasn't heavily on Carolina. That should be a good win for ya...

Edit: I just went in on that too.

Makes no sense to me why I didn't in the first place. Glad you posted that or I might've missed out.
