NT Degens, recruiting thoughts on Carolina +7.5 @ Saints? I dont think NO is good enough to be laying 7 and a hook. Carolina is well coached and keeps games close. I think Bridgewater should be able to hit Anderson/Moore regularly against the Saints somewhat banged up secondary. CB Janoris Jenkins has missed the last 2 games but should be playing this week. Nickel Corner patrick robinson blows coverages. Saints should get Michael Thomas back and are coming off their bye. They'll have 3K fans at the super dome. Saints have done a good job pressuring the QB and Carolina has had trouble protecting Teddy...

I already have a unit on Carolina but debating adding to it.

Edit- forgot to mention, there’s the Teddy Vs his old team factor too for what it’s worth. Familiarity vs the defense and scheme, and super dome.

That’s a tough one. I’m not messing with Carolina until McCaffrey comes back.

I get that. They’ve withstood that loss nicely. Mike Davis got jammed up against a stout bears D but otherwise has been strong overall, including a nice job in the pass game. Would be nice if they had a TE threat to help Teddy in the red zone and dump offs.
 
Yeah Carolina is one of those teams that's up n' down each week. I'd stay away. Game is a toss up, though.

Steelers were -2.0 yesterday at Tennessee. Today it’s Titans -1.0. Very unusual for a spread to flip like that without news.

How is the Saints red zone D & pass rush this year?

The problem with us isn’t getting down the field. It’s putting the ball in the end zone once we get there. We settled for 3 field goals (that I remember) in the chargers game in the red zone. One I believe within the 10.

There were some key drops in the bears game, mostly on my guy DJ Moore. He’s usually sure handed, but dropped a touchdown early and then should have had that crazy acrobatic catch on 4th at the end of the game. That would have set us up deep in bears territory for a shot to win.

The odd defense has been surprisingly good this year. It’s the run where we get gashed. I’m afraid if Kamara starts balling, then Thomas and Brees start connecting and then it all falls apart.

Saints still have a good o line right?We haven’t done a great job getting after the QB this year so that’s another knock on us this week. Although, Burns has been balling on the edge. 3rd best pass rush win rate among edges this year.

Our history with the saints tells me to stay away. I’m hopeful as a fan though.
 
Locked in the Rays again for tomorrow. Still great value with Morton going. Beuhler is the goods, but Roberts was already taxing his bullpen G2 and these starters don't go like that anymore.
