To clarify what I wrote, I only buy what I like, exclusive or whatever you wanna call it. But usually I been buying cheap sneakers that I like and that areclean, doesnt mean that I dont like other sneakers, it just means im not gonna go out of my way to buy them especially if their expensive. I got about a 6 shoerotation and all the other stuff I just wear once in a while... Some of the stuff I have in my room I havent worn in over a year smh usually Ill wear some boatshoes or vans eras heavily cause their just clean and simple

I don't care about Jordans or Retro kicks anymore. Mostly running shoes these days.

I used to be crazy about sneakers, but I sold off my collection as of two years ago. The two very good reasons why are the birth of my daughter, andsecuring a career that gave me no time to enjoy them. I no longer keep up with release dates, and now only buy sneakers for their true purpose...ie.basketball, running, ect. Rather than buying the same shoes over and over again just to rot, I now put my money to better use.

That said I don't thing that I will ever stop caring about sneakers...the love with always be there.
I get more enjoyment these days buying them for my little one, instead of hoarding mulitple pairs for myself.

18 years old, so pretty much last year.
Reasons:
1) No moolah
2) no point in buying things that i will consistently worry about getting dirty
3) no point in spending a lot of $$$ on something that WILL get dirty
4) waste of money to stash something in a closet...
I guess yea, pretty much stopped due to money issues. Found a more "productive" "hobby" to spend money on.
Oh and yea, there was the whole guilty feeling.

Son you're not cool.

Just because you see the older heads on here not caring about sneakers don't mean you gotta D ride them too.

You're 15... do you have to pay rent? child support? college tuition? NO!

so spend your money on getting fresh and bagging honies.

ARE YOU FORGETTING YOUR ON A SNEAKER FORUM?

I love sneakers, and always will.
such a beautiful feeling having that exclusive pair, nd when you wear it people stare at you. =-)

Ehhh I try to stop but it's just addicting to me literally. I cant stop buying shoes.

To the op I really dont think yu could buy that much heat at 15.

17, realized that most girls aren't into what type of shoes you wear and i'm not interested in the ones that are shoe heads (no offense to anyone)...

19. I took a real close look at myself after I bought the Stealth 23s for $220... since then I haven't had the desire to cop kicks.

I turned 32 on thursday and I will never stop. I have 3 sons and we all love shoes.
Shoes aren't my first priority, but there is no way I would stop. My love for shoes has
turned into a family affair.

I'll probably always care about sneakers. I stopped spending every dollar I had on them when I was around 16.

I didn't care about sneakers till 4th grade if you want to get technical, but I stopped caring at 17. I had the original 11's, with Deion Sanders,
and Jason Kidds. The next year, I just felt shoes were a waste of money, especially when my parents were buying them for me, even though I was working at aburrito shop at 16. Your title made me feel weird because I still love shoes. Even when I work, I need steel-toes, when I purchase my shoes, and off of work Ilike a nice shoe or boot to match my fit. I'm off of sneakers, but I love looking for new loafers, or boots that are "classic" in my eyes.

I'll NEVER stop... What's the point?? Life is TOO short, and sneakers are one of the things that make me happy...

& the memories that a lot of my sneakers bring back are priceless, so spending a couple hundred to satisfy my soul aint #%!%... Can't take the moneywith me when I'm gone, might as well enjoy it till my last breath...

QFT, nicely said

I've been collecting sneakers since elementary school pretty much.

I've had a thing for sneakers since i was a kid, i don't think it's going to stop.

I'll spend less as i get into college, but my love for sneakers will still exist.
