NT how long have you had your laptop/desktop?

Sony FZ laptop for 4 years almost. Reinstalled the OS and running windows 7 pro and it feels brand new. Optimizing performance > Buying machines with unnecessary beastly hardware.

^ What are some other ways to optimize your performance. I am at like 3 years. Still running VERY smooth. I clean up 2 times per week. Degrag 2 times per week. I don't download pron, don't even stream it either so I am sure that saves me.

You dont need to defrag twice a week 

. Once a month..if that.

I download a lot. I was told if you download a lot you should degrag a lot.

8+ years for this 2003 Dell Laptop. Porn/limewire has given it a run for its money, but it's still kicking 8 years later. Cardboard pieces for certain keys, thing is a mess physically but still works pretty well. Dell Latitude D600. Got it right before I started my first semester of college.

Dell Inspiron 1545, had it for almost 2 years. Hopefully I'll be able to switch to Mac next year.

Get Smart Defrag, set & forget.
might also want to get ccleaner if you don't already have it
