NT don't mess with Bob Marley? vol. Official Reggae/Dance Hall Thread!

Protoje - Who Knows (ft. Chronixx)

Agree, but there are a slew of good young Jamaican artists that are good like Protoje. I like this collar.

Kabaka Pyramid - Free From Chains

This is another newer roots artist& frequent collaborator with Protoje & Chronixx.

Chronixx, Protoje & Kabaka Pyramid - Selassie Souljahz

This single came out last year & an album was supposed to come out but I don't think it ever did...

Stephen Marley - Jah Army (ft. Damian Marley & Buju Banton)

& speaking of collatros, this jawn was fire. Damian always drops that ill flow & delivery. Stephen is a bang up producer now...

Stephen Marley - Rock Stone Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life (ft. Sizzla & Capleton)

Another great collabro.

Damian Marley - Gunman World

Speaking of Damian... This is a banga...

RIP Uziah “Sticky” Thompson... Jamaican percussionist who got his start in ska during the 60s & his most recent work was as a member of Ziggy Marley's Melody Makers.

Sticky worked for a ton of reggae artists ranging from Bob Marley, Skatalites, Sly & Robbie, Black Uhuru, Lee Scratch Perry, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, & Jimmy Cliff.

He's even worked for Grace Jones & The Tom Tom Club.

Here are a few tracks he's on... RIP...

Bob Marley and the Wailers - Soul Rebel

The Skatalites - Guns of Navarone

Black Uhuru - Sinsemilla

The Tom Tom Club - Genius Of Love

Busy Signal - Money Flow/Greetings (Ribbidibi) & Bed Room Bully

BS with the 80s dancehall throw back... Second track is a Shabba Ranks cover...

The original Shabba Ranks version

Haven't checked I-Shence's sound cloud page in a minute but his latest mix tape is fire. He always has the best in the latest reggae & dancehall...

Sevana - Bit Too Shy

This track is fire... Produced by Winta James and Protoje...

Hollie Cook - Postman

RIP John Holt... Died too young at 69. He first began with a group on the Trojan label The Paragons. One of their seminal hits was covered by Blondie in the 70s... Alot of the Paragons or Holt songs were covered by other artists (like UB40) too...

The Paragons - The Tide Is High

John Holt - Ali Baba

John Holt - Stick By Me

John Holt - Police In Helicopter

Christopher Ellis - Roller Coaster

great thread I am glad I came to check this out. I have never met anyone that disliked Bob Marley, instant conversation starter, everyone knows the lyrics to at least one of his songs
