NT: Do You Live in a Bubble?

I'm confused by the "...with the television and movie going habits of the upper middle class" analysis...

does that mean they typically watch and subsequently, interact with the what they see on television?

...or does it mean that their viewing topics/habits are relatively the same as the lifestyle they grew up in?

Expected to be a lot lower since most of the American questions didn't apply to me and my family is pretty well off

Grew up lower middle (sometimes dipping into poverty) class for the majority of my life (my mom raised my brother and myself on her own for the majority of my life).

Momb-dukes worked in the school district (substitute, counselor, communications). She never made more than 45k even when I was out into college.

She actually used to take me to college with her when she was finishing up her degree, so I guess that's why I am such a pusher of education. And in college, you tend to get exposed to a lot.

I currently work in finance making more than she's ever seen, but I still try to maintain conversations with a wide array of people, and expand the stuff I'm interested in.
