At first I was thinking that Nip should definitely be big enough to do better than 40K. But the more I think about it, his fanbase definitely isn't as large, even if he does have a lot of followers on social media. Nipsey has a very loyal fanbase, but I definitely wouldn't call it large in comparison to other mainstream rappers. Hell, there's a slew of people who probably know him more for being Lauren London's babydaddy than any of his music. Victory Lap is gonna be a lot of people's first time even listening to dude, foreal. We rock with dude heavy, of course, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world does.

Nip expected to move 40k 1st week
I think it would have been more had there been physical copies
There also seemed to be several documentaries and videos to promote the album. Currensy would have sold more than 40k if he had Nip’s promotion. This guy has 1.6M followers and every single day had minimum 3 posts about his album. He should've done more than 40k. He was definitely putting in the work to hype it up.
I don't know what the label did behind the scenes tbh.

This is what I was trying to say.He spent millions on promoting the album. This is definitely disappointing.
