Besides being able to collect, what's the point of amiibo's? Can't you just select the character from the screen? Not being a jerk, cause I'll prolly pick them all up too, but just curious.

Think of it like a pokemon
And ur the trainer
Preparing it for battle
Stronger than the regular pokemon just chillin in the forest
It has a special set unique to it and can learn new things that the regular pokemon can't
Cause u giving it TM's
And battling with it constantly to raise its level and evolve
