This is Nike's answer to Boost
Do they really need a answer? And this seems more performance based end of the spectrum not on the lax casual side.

to be fair Adidas boasts the boost as a performance tech so no reason why Nike wouldn't want an answer to it even if they do not market it as such, it is probably the single biggest development Adidas' has made to up their market (outside of Kanye) so I am sure the swoosh is on notice
what?!Nike will always be king but it would be naive of them to ignore the fashionable market that Adidas has started to own
what?!
nike been on that "fashionable" market before streetwear was this big. people customizing nikes and all that while collabs were more organic, or so it seems (nike x junya, nike x graffit artists), before all these force fed ones by adidas which Nike is guilty of as well to fight off adidas. real fashion people embraced the stan smiths i'll give adidas that but people aren't buying it till they see their favorite celebrity on TMZ rocking it.
to me adidas is still catching up. NMDs (nike cashed in on a cheaper shoe with roshes), PK (nike killed it a year before with their patent ban), boost (lunar was hot for quiet sometime). im not gonna sit here and claim nike will forever be king but some of the claims on here by ppl who are giving adidas all this credit all of a sudden just kills me just cause they struck gold with YE. no one was messing with boost before YE was seen rocking them and they come in here saying that BOOST is life. lololol BOOST is sick but the only good boost is in the UBs and previous annual flag ship boost models. all the lifestyle boost on nmds, yeezys, pure, etc. (i need to try 93/17 tho) are all too mushy IMO which i hope zoomX is closer to real zoom and not like lunar being a foam based cushioning.
i do and buy adidas as well but one year? we'll see, like i said im not one to claim nike will stay on top forever cause adidas was once at the top as well.come on man, you don't see what Adidas has done to carve into Nike? I always owned Adidas so I am not one of the sheep but folks are drawing loyalties like it's a cult and strictly wearing Adidas
I'm interested in both the Vaporfly 4% and the Zoom Fly. As a competitive runner, I'm excited to try out the new midsoles. I hope to pick up both on the release day. Let's hope they aren't over hyped and hard to get like the Vapormax.
i think the zoom fly is the one you want...sounds like that's the one for every day training.I can't wait to get your take on the Vaporfly 4% since you do competitive running. I want to get that as I know the Zoom Fly wouldn't benefit me as someone who just runs in general.

so it goes elite -- > 4% --- > zoom fly (elite not for every day training --- > zoom fly is for every day training)
Ahhh I see. Didn't know that the Zoom fly has the lunar not Zoom X. Got confused by it all
This was promoted as a new type of Lunar foam that is lighter softer and more resilient than previous versions. I would hold off on passing judgement if this will not work for you since it contains Lunar until we get a little more info.
All this new performance tech is getting me excited! I've been running in the FKRs lately, and I'm routinely running sub7min/mi paces. I hoping this line will get me to sub6s regularly!
A bit off topic, but do the Elites have special shoes when they run their races, or are they the same ones that are sold to the general pubic? For example, the Zoom Streak, which are generally equipped with Zoom in the heel... I'm wondering if they're equipped with additional forefoot Zoom as well. In my experience running in shoes with Zoom just in the heel, it just feels flat. I've run in the Pegasus 30 and the 33, and, man, there's such a different ride between the two!
Nike said the athletes were sporting sneakers from its line of Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite, which will be released to select retailers on June 8.
